There was so much they could be done with this camera; I think it's a shame they spent their energy on a video function.

One of the best things about the d90 is the price. For a camera like this you'd expect a price tag of at least $1,500 but Nikon surprises with a price of $1000. That's the body with the 18-105mm VR lens. That's a really good deal!

What I like with the Nikon D90 is the video feature. I miss that feature in my Nikon D80. I think this is the first DSLR that has a video feature.

yes, it's indeed the first d-slr with a video feature. i have a d70, and i don't "miss" the video feature AT ALL! i think a digital photographic camera should only take pictures. and i think nikon should have concentrated to improve the quality of the pictures...but, instead, they came out with this market trick. i'm beggining to think that nikon only makes cameras for commercial purposes, which kinda sux.

I think not, it is their marketing strategy. Since they are introducing the DSLR to non professional photographers, the video feature is a must. Since point and shoot digital cameras have a video feature, I think digital SLR's should have them too.

lol. dslrs cost a lot more than ps cameras. they're intended for a more pro use, so the video function isn't needed at all. i would have liked it to be without the video function and to cost about 100-200$ less.
