I have clothes that I will wear. I wear a large in shirts. But, when I went to buy another shirt in the same size I could hardly fit it.. How strange.. I guess that the clothes are cut differently than what I have already bought. Has this happened to you before?

I always have trouble with wearing diffrent sizes in certain brands. Some of them I can wear medium and other I wear large, even there pants are diffrent sizes for me. I always have to try on everything before buying it to make sure that I have the right size.

it's the manufacturers.i've long noticed sizes vary wildly between one company and another.and to make it worse, some "high ticket" clothes companies have bigger sizes marked smaller to buffer the egos of buyers. i don't think there's really a such thing as true sizing anymore.you have to try everything on.

Honey I have clothes that I wear all the time that range from small to xl It has to do with different brands and then the cut also. I have figured out that to but without trying something on doesn't work. oxxoxoxoxo

That's why I hate clothes shopping. The same size at different stores or in different designers...never fit the same. I have even bought jeans - Id try one pair on, it fit fine and go pick up 4 more of that same size, same style, same everything right down to the stock number on them. Take them home nad literally and I do mean literally, each pair will fit different and often I have to return all of them as they didn't fit like the one pair did!! So I have to try each and every pair on at the store!!! TOps..same thing. I am hard to fit, won't mention why, but since low cut is all they make these days, I don't find many that not only fit, but look decent enough to be worn!! But shoes, I love shoes and always love shopping for shoes!!!

Happens all the time! Sizes have also gotten bigger. A size 12 in 1972 wouldn't fit a size 12 now, it'd be too tight. And manufacturers cut their clothing differently so the same sizes can have big differences.

Hi cream, I have the same experience! I can wear Medium and sometimes Small for another brand but the same type of tops! LOL! SO, when I am skeptical, I tend to try it before getting! But, when it is stretchable, I just go with the Small!

Oh yeah many times. It depends on the brand and the material mix. Normally if I buy items from a boutique type store the sizes are smaller. If I go to cheap stores then I normally have to buy at least one size bigger and depending on the material mix I may have to go up two sizes.
