Paula Deen has a new kids cookbook!

I'm really excited about this one. Oct. 7th she is releasing her first kids cookbook. I love getting my kids involved in cooking and they really love cooking with mommy. So I always keep my eye out for new kids cookbooks. I have one of her books already and will definitely be buying this one. What about you guys, do you like Paula Deen? Know of any great kids cookbooks? Are you going to buy this one?

I like Paula Deen. I grew up in Savannah (my parents still live there) and we go to her restaurant when I go home to vist. Mmmmm, talk about some good food!

I've never met anyone that has been to her restaurant before. How cool is it? Is it crowded all the time? What is your favorite thing on the menu?

It's always crowded, definitely but the wait isn't that bad. My favorite thing is not good for you but good to my mouth. Mac and cheese, friend chicken, biscuit, and green beans with meat in it. Then, for desert I get peach cobbler. Ohhh, so good.

Hi waters...
I love Paula...I don't have cable right now so I haven't seen her show for awhile and didn't know about the upcoming cookbook for kids...
My grandsons love to be in the kitchen so it would be something I would look at and probably buy..
The boys love to measure all the ingredients and we have such fun...

The boys love to break the eggs too! At first we were getting alot of shells..*smiles*..but lately they do well...
The other day they both were helping grandpa make deviled eggs and they were emptying the yolks into a bowl and because they are a little slippery, I think they dropped at least a dozen.."yikes"...Dogs were happy though...LOL
We just boiled more...LOL

I actually haven't been watching her show lately either (too busy). I got an email about it. I think it's because I once entered a sweepstakes for Smithfield bacon where she is a spokesperson for. So now, every once and a while, I get an email from Paula Deen's "people". Like being in a fan club, ha ha. I adore her though so I never unsubscribed. That's how I heard about book. My kids love to break the eggs and are getting pretty good. My 4 year old loves cutting ham for whatever recipe (she does it with a plastic knife)

I really like Paula Deen also Rachel Ray. I'll have to look for the book too...my niece and nephew like to help cook when they come over. I've bought several childrens cookbooks through Betty Crocker and they are really nice as well.
