I'm evacuating.... anyone else??

Well they told us today it was a mandatory evacuation for galveston and surrounding areas. We are putting things high off the floors, packing our bags, getting our pets ready, and packing everything valueable to us. Hurricane Ike is fast approaching and were trying to get out of harms way. Is anyone else evacuating?

That would totally suck being in a hurricane. I've been lucky and have only been through a couple tornadoes, but nothing serious. Good luck with your place to live and all that. Hopefully everything goes well for you.

Hopefully my sister is already headed to my mom's, she lives in Seabrook. I live in the northeast now, but am keeping a close watch on the weather channel, since all my family lives in Texas, with the exception of one daughter. I just hope everyone learned and has evacuated and not trying to wait til the last minute. Good luck to you and yours.
