the 9/11 WTC

I only watched it on TV and read about it in the newspapers but everytime the day comes around or whenever it is mentioned, it makes me feel so sad that such traggedies happen and so many lives are lost. It also gives me the shivers to think that if a country like the US of A which is so careful and conscious about its national security can be attacked right in the heart of its homeland, how much more for my country whose security measures are almost non-existent? Such terrorist acts should be condemned and not tolerated.

i remember that day, as usual i came back from work and just switched on the TV. accidentally the channel that came on first was BBC. it must have been hardly about 30 minutes or later after the event happened. Wondered what was going on in the minds of those who were trapped in and finding it difficult to get out the buildings. one of the saddest days of humanity in the recent past. you said it rightly that one dont feel good whenver you remember it. but then this happened and many innocent lives were lost. terrorist wont understand all these. so are their supporters. They were celebrating while the whole world mourned.

I remember that i was cutting my hair and they were discussing the news. I thought they were joking. I did not believe such thing can happen. the hairdresser put on the news on the radio and I was shocked with what i was hearing. Let alone when I switched on televiision.

I remember right where I was at the moment, when my husband said the first plane hit the towers. I came to watch and then saw the second plane hit. I knew then that this was not an accident. I watched as those towers fell, and I fell to my knees knowing those people was trapped in there. I can only imagine the fear of the people on the planes. I could not even imagine a person so dumb that they would fly a plane into a building on purpose. Although we have been safe since that day, I feel that another is not far away, and I fear if Obama with his limited expericence and the views he holds witll make it easy for the terriost to get back into the usa. But that is another post. Lets hope the usa don't ever have to go through such a horrible thing again.

It is in fact a shameful day for the whole mankind and the world. This day remind us of the inhuman activity of terrorists ...... I still remember the pictures of WTC being hit by plane . There were clearly shocking pictures ...... in fact now I feel that incident was shameful also . Lot of innocent people were killed for no reason. I pray to GOD to give peace to the departed souls ..... Thanks For raising such a good discussion.....! Take Care ! Ganesh !
