I have had it!!! Everytime I turn around its something else. First we can eat eggs. THen we cant. Now a days there's not just fat to worry about. You have a few different kinds of fat. There are good carbs and bad carbs. Whats going on. Every food that I like is a death wish. I like salads. I like it with hard boiled eggs, croutons, feta cheese, lots of salad dressing. Oh and I mustnt forget the great big hunk of bread to go with it. Thats a salad. Again not a healthy choice. I must admit. I dont think I will ever live without fried food. I like chicken thats supposed to be good for you. I even like it baked. What? I cant have the skin of the chicken! That's the best part. It seems that if I want to live skinny, I have to starve. NOT!!! I understand there are alternatives. I hate the alternatives! Oh well I guess I may not be a size five but I will enjoy my life and all the foods that go along with it. I will just have to exercise more. Yeah Thats it!!! lol. DOES ANY ONE ELSE LOVE FOOD AS MUCH AS ME? Just remember ONLY DOGS WANT BONES. EVEN THEN THEY'D PREFER IT WITH MEAT ON IT!!!!!!!!

Well, that's the main reason why there are 'critics' in our lives, people just have their own studies or opinion about things, but life doesn't mean that we ALWAYS follow the rules and what others think. After all, eventually everyone would die. So, I say, stop listening too much. Just look at what has happened to our society, could you remember the time when children run free and get themselves scratched and fall, yet they were happier before, these days children are over protected and they don't know anymore the meaning of real FUN. All they know are PSPs, video games, internet. They don't really know how to play sports and have camaraderie. Why? Because some so-called experts influenced us that going outside and playing is dangerous! Our kids are a bunch of ninnies who just end up depressed, working their lives off because they haven't really experienced what life is. As to food. I have one ruling: "Too much of anything is bad for you" So I go eat what ever I want, just limiting myself not to eat more than what is good for me (well, I know when it's not good anymore if I don't feel better after eating too much). Plus of course, give yourself a break by playing sports or exercising. A well-balanced person isn't worried of what he/she eats. Remember, there are a lot of people in the world who have no food to eat. If you want to grow thinner, just give the food to them. At least there are those who appreciate fat or anything that could fill their hunger.

I think every thing eatable has some good contents and some harmful contents for different type of people with their personal chemistry. I am very health conscious.I think before I take the next step. Some time out of frustration when there is nothing of my like available I resort to even red meat but not regularly. I use to eat low fat things, lest corb fat free milk products, fat free cheese, chicken fish and so on but at the same time I to get check on the cholesterol level and sugar level. Any way I am here to eat to live and not live to eat. How you see it. Plese comment and have happy chickening with skin to save your skin.

I agree with Lilaclady. There is nothing good to eat, and there is nothing bad to eat. I say this, because different diets have different restrictions. Also, dietary research tends to say one thing, and then do "a 360" three years later because of new findings. It is not really about what you eat, but how much you eat of it. As Lilac said, moderation. Everybody has a different level of what they can eat to keep them going throughout the day. "How much should I eat?" is a good question to bring up to the doctor.

Just like you I love to eat also. I agree there are just too many restrictions nowadays when it comes to food, and even if it is healthy I thinks its a bit too excessive. Well I am no lady so I don't think I have more restrictions than you so I guess my course in eating is kind of better than yours. Well if we want to live a healthy and long life I guess some restrictions are good, but too much restrictions would probably like having no life at all.

I am not so sure the experts really know what they are talking about sometimes because they keep changing their minds, for example, on the food pyramid dairy plays an important part but singlely anything dairy doesn't seem to be good for you, one day something is good for you the next day it isn't, I remember the day it was said mushrooms had no nutritional value at all, now they do...I say eat what you like but eat everything in moderation...but eat lots of chocolate...

I'm so with you friend...i love food...not just the bad stuff but I like all food. There are some things I have more than others....I don't often try new things...I love to cook and I have a pretty broad range of things to cook. Of course, I have to sample things as I go.... I love my food rich or tasty, so I don't skimp on herbs, spices or sauces to make things taste simply yummy. Thjere's a saying going round at the moment...if it tastes good...it's bad for you...

That should be the saying of the entire 20th century. I hate the fact the I have to feel so bad if it tastes so good. Enough already. I think I would rather not know. I rarely ever look at the ingredients or calorie index. If I like, If I want it, I eat it. thanks for your support. I am on my way to Burger King. I feel like a whopper jr. and fries. Oh and maybe A milkshake. NO just a large Dr. Pepper. lol happy eating. dl

I love food and I like to eat chocolates. I should probably be watching my weight but then again I don't want to deprive myself of the simple joys of life. I used to read a lot of things that these food experts have to say but I stopped a long time ago thinking that if I don't eat the things that these experts say are bad for me, I wouldn't really enjoy life as much as I used to. LOL What I do now is that I only eat in moderation.

To be honest, I think that is the only way. All the diets in the world are set up to fail because they deprive you of one thing or another. If you eat what you want within reason and moderation and also remain active, I think this could do it. When we diet we become resentful. Anytime someone takes something from us we become upset. If you feel resentful you are not going to want to participate reasonably to a diet. Just my thoughts . I do agree with you 1 million percent my friend. Thanks for responding and happy myLotting. dl

R u a diabetic? regardless I feel for you. About 4 years back I was put on pills called advandament for my blood sugar. I eventually stopped taking them. I had to lose weight. In this case losing weight was what I needed to make the problems go away. There are many ways to prepare chicken so its delicious and good to eat. Try baking it with a little salt pepper and drop of margarine or even a butter substitute. Its one of my favorites. Fried chicken is my weakness. I love to eat meat fried in oil. I even found a recipe to make chicken in the oven to taste just like the real fried chix. Let me know if you would like to try it. I would love to share them with you. thanks dl

Hey friend, am just like you........I eat anything and everything so long as it is sweet..........I chew candies like nobody's business. chicken is my favorite, chips and fish i can eat daily. I mean, everything fried is my friend and everything boiled is boring to my taste.......heheheheeee. As you said only dogs like bornes and likes it with a little meat. Watching weight is not in my book and its is suprising am not "overweight"....am just full bodied and I like it. In this part of the world, men prefer chubby women, in fact my hubby wants me to add more weight heheheheeeeee.....funny isnt it?

I hear you my friend. Its sad because we as a society have struggled for hundreds of years to be able to make our own decisions. Now a days we allow the tabloids to tell us what we should wear and how we should look. I am not a model. I am me. I dont look good small. I honestly think that the skinny era is out. I see so many nicley dressed, sexy looking men and women that are larger in size. There is a such thing as being morbidly obese. These are the people who can't walk or go out of the house. That's an addiction. I have seen people who were beautiful turn into anorexics or bulemics just to conform to society's views. I think that we need to be healthy. THat's the most important thing. I walk everyday. I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and yet I am not small. I feel that if you're happy and basicallyl healthy than youre ok. Dont take away your freedom of choice just to be one of the crowd. I like individuality. I think that everyone is predestined to be small or large. We must learn to live with it. dl

I don't really listen to those new "rules" anymore. Ten years ago, margarine was good for you and butter was bad. Now, it's the opposite. I've gone ahead and switched to butter because I actually like to cook with it more than margarine because margarine has so much water in it. But, I don't really eat a lot of butter so I'm not worried about adverse health effects. Honestly, I think the secret is moderation. There's nothing wrong with eating eggs. Just don't go and eat 10 eggs a day. I think it's healthy to eat 2 eggs a day. Eggs have protein in them. If meat is "bad" for you, then how else are you supposed to get protein? Tofu? No thanks... Yeah, fried food is bad for you, but that doesn't mean you can't EVER eat it. You should be able to enjoy food that you like occasionally. Again, moderation. Limit yourself to fried dinners once a week. If you want to make it a lttle more healthy, fry your chicken at home in canola oil and drain the grease well. If you want to try to make your salads with a little less calories, try making your own salad dressing. I'm not sure what kind you use, but good old oil and vinegar with some salt, pepper, and spices is great. There's also nothing wrong with eating baked chicken. Have your skin on your chicken sometimes. Honestly, I think worrying so much about the types of foods we eat and the anxiety that it creates is worse for us than eating some of these foods. Think about that for a second.

I need you to move here immediately! Where are these attitudes in my neck of the woods. I weighed about 285 and lost 100 pounds about 2 years ago. when people asked me what I gave up I answered nothing. To be honest I ate subs, pizza and anything else I wanted. The secret to my success was STRESS. I was so stressed that I ate small portions. I dont recommend this. I do think that moderation is the answer. I dont understand why no one puts it out there. I guess it'll be up to us. lol thanks friend You made me feel happy to eat a hoagie!!!! lol dl

i so love food. let's just say, i love it more than exercise. i like chocolates, pizza, cheeseburger... everything that health freaks call JUNK. through the advancement of science, things that so-called experts say about food has become really complicated. i guess i better accept the fact that i'll be living my whole life with a lot of MEAT on my body. LOL!

Hi dloveli, I love food and I love eating specially in a group like family members and friends..ANyway, I don't eat a lot when I am alone and that is 5 days a week since I am a full time wife! SO, I will just eat brunch each day and I know I will only have 3 meals a day during weekends since hubby has no work...It's more exciting for me to eat with someone else, I'm not used to eat alone and when I eat with several company, I will really eat a lot! LOL! I love junk foods and I am trying to control myself about it, good thing I don't like ice cream..LOL! I love skin of the chicken also but when I started to just ignore it, I am no longer craving for it but I know I love most food that are not healthy....Oh well!

I too love food, but I eat different things either in moderation or have made changes...like fried food...If I do have fried food I oven bake it rather than deep fry..I found too much fried foods triggered gastritis in me...NOT a pleasant feeling if you've never had it. I too LOVE cheese and would rather eat REAL cheese rather than the low fat/low cholesterol types that taste like cardboard....blaugh! To be honest though nowadays even if one DOES eat healthy, one has to now be constantly be aware of potential food contaminations...I STILL haven't for instance been brave enough to buy tomatoes again ever since the tomato recall.

Hi dloveli, You are right, they say you can't eat this you can't eat that, well you may as well eat it and die happy, we won't have to worry about what we eat if they stop putting rubbish if it or feeding rubbish food to the animals the we eat, even the green stuff they spray all knds of chemicals on it so it not our fault the good food will kill us, they are killing us. I TOTALLY AGREE. This is because everyone wants so hard to conform to the social norms. AND I HATE IT. But we are all indirectly forced to follow that irritating trend. And it's more irritating that the good food contains the more deadly stuff, like fats. But I guess we all have to eat in moderation and such. I'm glad people are coming up with better recipes, lower carbs and such too. Like Low fat milk, Low fat Granola bars, Sugar free sweets, I guess we all have to accept it. Ultimately it's your choice whether you want to follow the social trend or not. But it sucks, and I know.
