I just received a response to a discussion I had started under the group called 'eagles'. When I saw the response I realised that I had got a rank 1 of 27 in the group. Does it mean anything? Why is the ranking system introduced and on what basis do you go up the ranking scale. Has it got anything to do with earnings. Please clarify these things for me.

Very nice question. This has been going through my mind for the past few days. Based on the above responses, I think they are right since there are a lot of interest posted here in MyLot, I think there is no way for the Admins to compute for additional pay. But being number 1 for that particular interest, at least you could brag about it and a lot of people will see your profile

It's because you are the most active member under that section, you won't get paid any more money than usual but your photo will appear at the bottom of the interest page in the top posters section so it might get you more friends.

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with pay. It just means that you are considered the most active member in that particular subject. It is just a status thing. I wish we could earn more due to our rankings, but it doesn't. I could help you get more attention and exposure to your discussions though.
