I don't believe it. I don't believe it cos the book that tells me is not a book on history. The authentic books that tell about Jesus' life does not say that Jesus was married. Moreover, if Jesus was married there is no reason why it should not be told by his biographers. After all even if Jesus was married that does not affect his divinity at all. so there is no reason why the writers would hide that if he was really married. Fact is Dan Brown sold the story to make some fat money.

Do I believe Mary was married to Jesus? I don't know. Do I find it intriguing? Absolutely. After everything we've been taught in the Christian faith, to think that there was another side to Jesus that we don't know is very interesting. In the end though, I have to ask myself this: Does it even really matter? Not to me, it doesn't. Whether He was married or not, He was still a good man who did great things. What difference does having a wife make in all of what He did? None. No difference. Unmarried, He was a great man who did great things. Married? Still a great man who did great things. As to the idea that having a wife would make him "impure" - isn't it said that lovemaking in the bonds of marriage is a holy act? Or something to that general effect, at any rate. It astonishes me that something so simple as whether or not Jesus had a wife can cause such heated reactions - I guess I just can't understand why the idea of Jesus being married changes the things He did in the eyes of some Christians, as though they think that people who suggest Jesus and Mary may have been married are trying to malign their savior. Crazy, to me.

maybe mr brown has never thought that his work will create such heated criticism specially among christian, maybe the book he wrote was intentionally a product of a wild and curious, and a malicious mind with a wild and a malicious approach touching people's sensitive belief and faith so to create controversy to sell his book, without realizing the consequences of his action. i hope christian should not be moved by this non sense deliberate propaganda even if this done unintentionally by mr. brown.

I also heard of this through the grapevine, but I haven't read anything like that in the Holy Bible that I read, which is the King James Version. From what I can understand in that version, is that Jesus was a single man and was never married to anyone. I don't know what book or version this is in, but if I don't see it in the Holy Bible that I read, I'm staying clear of it. I know that there are tons of different religions and teaches about Jesus, that's why there are so many different churches with many different beliefs, and some churches actually add and take away from the Holy Bible, so we all have to be very careful about what we're reading.

I agree with you. I also use the King James Version. I figure it has been messed over by man less that some of the others. There is nothing in the KJV of the New Testament that even suggests Jesus was Married to anyone.

Hmmm. A very controversial topic. I think we should not pay heed to such books which are misleading.
