In almost every line of work, speaking a second language makes you valuable.Twenty percent of Americans don't speak English at home.California, New Mexico, have largest percentage of non-English speakers. Spanish is most popular with 34 million speakers nationwide. Do you speak 2 languages? How well?

No. I have some familiarity with Spanish, but I wouldn't count on it for anything.

I speak two languages fluently English and Spanish. I am able to translate about 75% of the things from English to Spanish and vice versa but it just depends. I know how to read and write both but still have many grammar problems with Spanish since it consists of many rules.

Generally I speak one and only one. I only know a few words of Spanish not enough except to say hi,goodbye, and maybe a few other words..besides that I am hopeless with other languages I would love to learn a few more words of Spanish and have thought of using Rosetta Stone programs to learn it.

Russian is my native language, I know English and French pretty well, and some phrases in Finnish.

Yup, totally agree with you, especially if the languages are internationally spoken. I communicate fluently in English, and could speak Mandarin (wish I could read and write too).

I speak Tagalog and English! But I'm still trying to learn a little bit of Arabic which is very hard for me to learn.
