memories

I remember when I was young how my mom would always make us special pancakes, a bear, mickey mouse ect. She would also give us a piece of dough when making bread that we could shape into what we wanted, I usually would shape mine into a bear. Those are special memories for me. Now I am a mom and I try to do things that will be a special memory for them. I try to make fun snacks for them, happy faces and such and I try to make them a special birthday cake on their birthday, butterfly, hat, cheeseburger, Ariel are some of the special cakes I've done for them. So do you have any special memories that your parents did for you? Do you try to create a special memory for your children?

My mom would give us left over scraps of cinammon dough when she was making cinammon rolls. We would eat it if it was cooked and if not we would roll it around and play with it. I never did anything really special with my son when he was little, but I would hide money for him in plastic eggs at Easter time. He loved that.
