Would you like to travel far away?

Is there a place in the world that is far away but you would really like to go there? Do you think that you will be able to go there in your lifetime? Where is the furthest that you have traveled from you home country? I would love to go to South America to walk the Inca Trail in Peru. I will have to go there soon or I will be too old to do such a demanding walk. If not I will need to go up to Machu Picchu by train. When I was 20 I went around the world and I went to New Zealand when I was 30. So Dunedin in New Zealand is the furthest that I have been so far in my life from my home country.

I would like to go to New Zealand - I'm not sure when I'll be able to but sure hope I get to one day as I would be very sad if I was too old to travel anymore and I hadn't gotten around to it!! x

Yes, I suggest you go to New Zealand sometime in the next ten years. Then you will able to enjoy doing all sorts of enjoyable activities. I feel sorry for the sort of person that wants to travel but waits until retirement because the best fitness and health may have already gone years ago. Happy traveling to New Zealand. x

Lol - hopefully I will be able to still do within 20 years as I'm only young! I definitely agree about the retirement thing but think sometimes people just wait because they just cannot otherwise do so! x

I would like to see Argentina and India in my lifetime, and I know that I will make it happen with my determination. The farthest I have been from my home has got to be Colorado Springs, Colorado. I live in Pennsylvania, so it's not the biggest stretch, and I don't exactly come from a family with much money at all, just a single mom with one income and three children, it was my aunt and uncle who helped me see a lot of the US. Soon the farthest away from home will be Stockholm, Sweden, and I will also see Barcelona, Spain, but that is a shorter distance I believe than Stockholm. I have been working really hard to afford this trip, though I already bought my Sweden ticket. I need to buy my Spain ticket yet, and I also will have a $540 six month premium to pay on my car insurance, though my calculations show that with my job I will be able to afford it all, but no matter what I will be in Sweden!

I loved it in Stockholm with its beautiful setting and it has lovely old architecture. It is excellent that you have saved up to go there and I know that you will have a fantastic time. It might be possible for you to do a side trip to Barcelona in Spain when you are in Sweden. It was lucky that you aunt and uncle helped you see some of your home country. You have great determination so I have confidence in saying you will visit India and Argentina in the future. I wish you happy traveling to Sweden to start with.

Well, Spain will be the side trip, my boyfriend lives in Sweden so him and I will spend three of the days out of the bunch in Barcelona. It definitely saves money doing it that way since flying about Europe is so darn cheap!

The furthest I have travelled is Europe my friend I have never been any further! Canary Islands is the furthest. But as you know in the future it will be New Zealand that I will have my heart set on and that is some distance! You are very lucky to have been to so many places including New Zealand, I hope that when I am ready to go there I will still know you and be able to ask you some more advice which I appreciate you giving to me.

I would love to go to Antarctica! There would be no comparable place like it on this earth and it would surely be awe inspiring. The only thing I don't like the thought of though is the cold! I think the furthest I have travelled from my home country of Australia so far is probably the USA. The UK is a similar distance too I guess..... I have been away from home for several years now so even a short distance seems like a very long one these days!

I will travel to China and Japan before I die (if I can help it ). When I was in highschool I was able to be an exchange student to Bolivia for the summer. But the furthest that from my home is Egypt. I was able to do that in college. It was a dream trip for me. I had always wanted to go. It was so great!

Wow, you went to Bolivia so that must have been amazing. It was lucky that you were able to go to Egypt with your college and was a dream trip to for. I am sure that you will go to China and Japan, perhaps on the one trip. I think that you will visit many more different countries as well. Good luck and happy traveling.
