Were you able to get your job back after you quit and couldnt' find a job?

My brother quit his job in July because he was supposed to have a job but that job never came through for him. He got a letter telling him that they had hired someone, jut not him. He put in about 70 applications to different employers and had no luck getting a job that paid enough like he was making. Now in September he has his old job back. Has that happned to you? Were you able to get your old job back after you quit?

i have that experience too, i quit my job becase there is something happen that i need to quit my job, after about 4 months later, my colleague call me that he knows that i don't work at that time, then he asked me to go back working because he said the boss doesn't like the one instead of me, and then my boss fired that guy, by now, i am still feel sorry to that guy.

You really shouldn't feel that sorry for him. Apparently he wasn't the one for the job, you were. Glad you got your job back. Hope it works out this time.

I never had to do that and I only once gave my notice in before I had found another job and that was at a time when jobs were easy to get and I was living with my parents so living was not expensive. Other than that I always made sure I had a job to go to before I gave my notice in. Did that once and got a rise so I stayed.

That is a good thing to do. Never quit your job without a job to go to. My brother is lucky to have gotten his job back. I believe he will work there for a while this time. He likes to change jobs and that is not good.
