They let my animals out 3 times, and put them in harms way, so i gave 30 days notice and moved out. They didnt believe I was going to move out so fast and took their time in finding a new roomate..now they are saying they are going to sue me for Oct rent becuase the person they found cant move in until Nov..OK?? how is this my problem

Well, you gave them a 30 notice, so they should have had time to find someone else to replace you. Was your notice in writing or verbal? If it were in writing, that may help you if in fact they do want to take this to court. October has not come yet, so how are they asking you for the rent for October. People are strange, they do wrong, then try to turn it on you. I hope you pets are okay, and good thing you are getting out of there before something bad happens.

Thanks Mommasam! There was a lease, however I have all documentation that I tried to find a replacement from day One and they sat on their butts. Regardless lease or not, there is no way I was going to stay and have my animals in jeopardy again, so i guess if i end up having to pay, i wouldnt have made any other choice.

It is not your fault anyway! I can't believe that they sue u. They are being unreasonable! Take it easy! I hope everything will soon be fine!

Well i had lousy roomates back in australia during a study trip there. They don't clean their shoes and all..
just ignore them
