is there still inequality between man and woman nowadays?

people say that there are stil inequality among gender. although people are pushing for equality, we still cannot say we can fully live up to the challenge. there are many things to consider with this, though in the workplace, women are gaining their power as presidents, board members, etc... i think it is a good start.

Well in some first world country it is almost equal already. But in some other countries it still exist because they want to stick to their old ways and tradition where women are treated less than that of a man.

In many cultures there are unfortunately MANY examples of inequality due to a "dark ages" mentality. When I worked in India for example, you could actually state on a job description that the candidate HAD to be male and unmarried and you could also openly reject a candidate because they were a woman or married or NOT married or whatever reason you wished to come up with at the time! If you did this in my country of Australia you would be sued for discrimination so fast your feet wouldn't even touch the ground! On a different level we could argue that yes there are physical inequalities in that as a whole men are generally stronger, faster and have more stamina than women but this too is starting to even out in many areas and there are always exceptions to this example as well. I think that rather than state inequalities exist between men and women it is becoming more and more evident that inequalities exist on a case by case basis between one PERSON and another. Gender doesn't even come into it anymore because there are so many different angles to consider.

Inequality between man and woman would continue till another generation because ours is a man dominating society.What is liberty of woman and where does it exist?Everywhere the women are treated as the slaves and are subject to tortures.Every body feels the woman is the love and child producing machine and nothing more than that.thanx.

Of course there are. There are many physical inequalities such as women only can give birth to children. However, over the past years inequality between men and women has narrowed due to the liberty women has got which I think is a good sign. But I think for all the time, men should be men and women should be women. No body likes woman like men and men like women.
