Sarah says that he doesn't support using taxpayer dollars to bail out the US banks, but she had no problem using taxpayer dollars to support Wasilla, and the state of Alaska. Sounds like another PaLIE to me.

psssst, take a few minutes and look up the duties of a mayor or governor and the basic structure of powers with in the local and state governments and relations to the federal government. Your critisizing someone for doing their described job.

X, How many lobbist does your city have? Does your city receive $200 per person in federal taxpayer money? I know the answer to the second one: NO. Sarah spent her time as mayor, and governor trying to get as much US Taxpayer dollars. She also felt that the poor people of Alaska shouldn't be burdened with paying for her pay, or anything else in their budget. She feels that the US tax payers, and big oil should pay for the people of Alaska. The city I live in doesn't depend on federal earmarks to support our government, nor does the state I live in. After researching PaLIE, and Alaska, I think I should move to Alaska, if I did that last year, I would be $15,000 better off, just for breathing. Can you say Alaska WELFARE?

The answer to the second question, you know this how? I worked for the town, I personaly know the town manager, 2 of the 3 selectman, I see byudgets, vote on them, including the source of funding. A recent water system improvement project that was just completed was done on nearly half federal funding, to the tune of 800,000 of federal tax payer money. With a population of around 3000 people, that's about $266 per person for that project alone. We recieve federal funding for lots of things, including ems, police dept, road improvement and more.

X, the difference between where you live, and Alaska is they get this funding every year. I am sure that your city doesn't get this kind of project funding every year. The more I learn about Alaska the more I am amazed that they get away with this kind of stuff. It is amazing how socialized this state is, and Sarah Palin looks like the problem, not the solution.

Hey TGD, of course Palin doesn't support bailing out the banks and insurance companies, let them fail on their own without a safety net of the tax payers money. Tony Knowles was the dem who wanted the vicitims of $exual assault to pay for their rap e kits but then was worried that he wouldn't get re-elected so he pushed it on the Police department that is funded by the taxpayers. Palin didn't think that was right so she got funding from the government. I think its great that she thought of the victims and the Police department. If the population was higher in Alaska do you think this would even matter how much people got? I don't.

more acuratly annie, fired for circumventing the authorty of a governor in dealing with washington. I haven't looked up alasaka's state law in this, but I'm pretty sure it is like most other states, a violation of the states constitution and the laws regulating the structure of the government. So it may not nessesarily be what he was asking for, but the fact that he went around the law to ask for it. I havn't spoken much on the trooper-gate issue because there is still a lot going on and comming out. but it is looking more and more like it was much more than it seemed and worse and worse for the guy who got fired. Again, still alot comming out, we'll know pretty soon.
