Handling day to day stress

Hi, As we all are aware of the increasing day -to-day stress in our lives. It might be due to Monetary Constraints , Family issues, Marital issues, Job Pressures ,Traffic and Commuting problems and a lot lot more . Sometimes; it seems too much and simply out of COntrol. How do you overcome / tackle all this stress. Do you meditate / Jog/walk ; do Reiki or Yoga ? Or something else ? Please do share . Regards Ptrikha_2 18/09/2008 13:44 IST

Well one technique I got from a seminar is the breathing exercise. sometimes stress that comes in our lives really puts a lot of energy away from us. If you would just relax and breath deep enough where you could feel you lower stomach expanding not your lungs. Sometimes you destress by putting in lots of oxygen in your body. Stress may be felt at its worst when your body lacks the needed oxygen. So by inhaling slowly and exhaling slowly outside the oxygen supply is replenished again and again.

I know exactly what you mean and i'm in that same kind of situation right now and it's really difficult. sometimes i wish I want to escape and leave everything, I feel like crying most of the time but when i do i just stop myself and think that nothing will come out of it. I don't do anything really i just breathe in and hope that all my problems will end as soon as possible.
