sometimes i will ask random questions that have actual answers not just opinions. i find that i get the same answers over and over again. when someone answers correctly i always respond and tell them that it is correct. i still get more and more answers even after the correct answer has been given. please read the other responses before you leave yours. this goes for opinion based discussions also. by reading them it will prevent the person that started the discussion from having to read the same thing over and over again. it can also help you come up with a better response because you may have something to add to someone elses. this will make it more of a discussion and make myLot a better place to be. just my opinion, thank you.

hi camomom, I usually read all the answers but at times I like to use my own mind and just respond before reading pages of like stuff.but to make a good discussion there should be some room' for discussion besides the type of post that asks what is your favorite color, as how much can you discuss that, its just one answer question, it gives no scope for anydiscussion. Unless the poster adds something like why is it your favorite color and what does this color make you think of? Now you have room for a real discussion and no carbon copy answers either.

you're right an that's what i try to do. sometimes i just get bored and don't really have anything important to post but want to post something. i like useless knowledge so sometimes i'll post questions like "how many whiskers does a cat have?" things like that just to see if i can get the correct answers from people.

Firstly, I'd rather start a discussion which allows others to give their opinion or personal experience. In that way, each answer is bounf to be unique. Secondly, I have a problem reading all the responses if there were already too many. Some of the discussions are very popular, generating lots of responses. As such, reading all of them takes time and effort. By the time, I come to the posting, I may be too tired to do so and would rather sleep. Well, that's just my opinion...

thanks for your opinion. i agree with starting a good discussion that will generate unique responses, i may just not be creative enough. it seems as though the ones i start, where i'm seeing this issue happening, are the ones that do not have alot of other responses so i don't think that's the problem for me. if i respond to something with alot of responses i try to atleast skim through them to get an idea of what others have posted even if i don't READ them all. making money should take some effort. thanks again.

Sometimes when the topic is very interesting people tend to read the other responses but if it's just a simple discussion people tend to leave responses to the discusser. There are times that when you read other responses they do just go over and over again but this people have their own opinions to share and if it is the same then it is just how they thought it would be to respond. I think it's better to have responses than nothing at all. I am just glad I get responses through it all...

i personally have to be interested in the discussion to even leave a response. people should leave their response directed to the discusser because they are the ones asking the question, opinion, advice, etc. i agree that alot of people have the same response and thats great but they could maybe add something or take something away or even word it differently. it is better to have responses then to not have anything at all, you are right, especially if you are here to make money. i am also here to make money but i want to be interested and have fun while doing so and maybe make some friends in the process. thanks for your response.

Just my opinion...even if there are many answers/responses that are similar, the fact that people post a comment is something of a compliment. It means they found your topic interesting or they are passionate about the topic. If I am responding to a discussion, I may only read a few responses first (especially if there are many). If I start a discussion, I read EVERY response and try to reply to the responses even if it is just to say "thanks for your comment". I want people to know I appreciate their participation. When there are responses that are similar I just kind of look at it as a barometer of how many people think alike. I don't see it as being inconsiderate that they didn't read all the comments first. Have a great day.

I agree, it does make the discussion more interesting when people go into more depth than just give such similar answers. And I didn't take your discussion as disrespect. Have a great day.

thank you for your thoughts. you're right i should take it as a compliment that people find my topics interesting and i do. i didn't mean any disrespect by this discussion. i also read every response to my own discussions and try to respond to each one. i know it's ok for people to think alike and thats great, sometimes i wish they added just a bit more or word it a little different. i don't find it being inconsiderate either, i just think it may make for a more interesting discussion for everyone if there weren't carbon copy responses.

i understand what your saying hun but alot of people like me respond straight from email and then only read the rest of the discussion afterwards. If I post the same thing as others i will usually re-respond with further comments it's inevitable that it's going to happen if it bugs you that much you might be better to respond rather than start discussions as no matter how diverse and broad the question alot of people will think generally along the same lines and therefore respond in a similar manner.

And started a decent, non banal discussion. At least there is something to comment on here, instead of racking your brains as to how you can possibly respond. Thanks to you both (notice, i didnt leave a response that pays, thats not important here!)

Good point, but as for opinion questions there should be no limit even if they say the same thing. That's what this forum is all about, correct? All that aside you have a excellent point because everyone should be looking at the responses as well so they might be able to add to anything that has been said from others not just putting their own thoughts down. "It takes a village to raise a child" same thing applies here coz with many ideas comes out the best solution to anything even if it is a combination of more than one persons thoughts. All the best

you are correct. there should be no limit, i'd just like them to change a little bit. if we all agree and have the exact opinion, great but we could add why it's our opinion or why we agree. i like when people read the responses and maybe comment on another response then add their own response. i think it makes for a better discussion. thank you

Very true each person needs to think about what has been said then add to it otherwise and Im sure you know this we go in circles. Glad to see we have similar perspectives. All the best take care

Like others have said, I often reply to a discussion through my email, so I don't know what has been said before. Regardless of whether or not someone else has already stated the 'correct', or your desired answer, doesn't mean that other people cannot contribute to the discussion. People may raise ideas that you hadn't thought about, or may just want to respond because the discussion topic interests them.

i think u have put a great discution actually i also start this kind of discution , but here the people come for mostaly erning they only just responce random they just see the discution and give their opinion to about that respond but never try to read others responce thats why you and even all of us got a same kind of responce, because if they read other then they think if i read others than it will take some more times and in this much of time i can respond to 5 dicution and thats why no body reads others opinion and responds thir opinion even we got a same kind of responce.

you are very right. i think some people do only care about earning money and thats why they don't want to take the time to read. i think thats part of the problem. i would rather have fun making money then just look at myLot as a boring job. lets face it most of us don't earn enough to pay our bills here so why not have fun making the little that we do.
