God is not responsible for the bad things that have happened in my life!!

I've heard and read about so many people who have gotten angry with God when things go wrong in their lives. They scream at Him, "Why did this happen?! What did I do!?" You know what, He did nothing. He made us and he raised us and taught us. Then he stepped back and let us live. I was 3 months pregnant with my third child when the police knocked on my door and told me that my husband had been killed in an accident on his way to work. I had to go and identify the body. I called my parents and my brothers for support. I NEVER blamed God. Why is an accident not just an accident? My husband's death was not God's will. It was just something that happened. My six month still birth was not God's will. It was just something that happened. And yes, I did turn to Him for strength, as I did my earthly family. God didn't do it. So, what do you think? When bad things happen, do you need to blame someone? Do you blame a Diety, Fate, or something supernatural? Or do you just see that things happen as they happen and there is no fault to be had? Why or why not?

Krishna - Krishna preached the bhagvat Gita to arjuna in the field of Kurukshetra battle. He explined Karma and its effcts on man
Things do happen in life. We are born here to pay for our past sins and enjoy good things for the good we have done. You might have read newtons third Law which says "every action has an eactions in the same life equal reaction".Newton dicovered this natures law by accident. It was working before Newton and it works now also.Bible also quotes incident where people had to suffer for bad actions.as human beings we keep on performing actions. Some of them Good and some of them bad.The reaction will come to us in due time. Since the life span of an individual is short he cannot experience all the reactions in one life time . He has to be reborn to pay his debt or collect his gifts. This is the reason why the saints said alwys do good.

Oh yes, I've always believed that I've been here before. I've been called an old soul by people more learned than I. Let me ask you something....No, it can't be asked here. add me as a friend if you wish and we can discuss through PM. If you don't want to, that's OK too. Thanks

What is Goji and what are the side effects. VMKS, I'm so happy that you are able to live for the day. I do try to do this because I do know that life is short. I hope you have as much time as you need to do whatever you want to do.

When bad things happen to me I take it as my fate. The same goes when good things happen. I do thank G-d for the good things.I am so sorry to hear about your husband and baby. If that had happened to me, I wouldn't blame G-d but I would be bitter and very, very angry. But at G-d? No.I guess there are people who think Everything, good and bad, id G-d's will. So when bad things happen, they blame G-d.

Fate implies that it's predestined and that we have no say. I can't get with that. I don't thank Him for the good things, but I do chat with him to celebrate the good things. I don't blame Him for the bad things, but I do call on Him for strength to get through the bad things. Many people use God as a crutch. If it helps them cope...I guess I can't deny them that. It's just not something I can personally believe. Thanks for your insight.

He was the one who made our lives. If we don't blame him for accidents, then he shouldn't be praised for the good things that happens to us. Then we shouldn't say " Thank God " anymore.

I don't thank Him for good things either. I only ask for his assistance in lifting me up or I chat with him about good things.;

I think that God may be responsible for everything. The good and the bad. It's a part of life and you're just acting out a play pretty much because everything is destined to happen. When you die you go back to God where you will be surrounded by so much love which is not even possible on Earth. I don't know if this story is true but I think I should still share it. It was told by one of my teachers and I think it's true. He told me that his wife once fell off some stairs off around the third floor. She remembered that she didn't even feel the fall instead she was looking down at her body rolling down the stairs and hit the floor where everyone was gathering around to help her body out. She was floating in the air apparently and God asked her if she wanted to come with Him or if she wanted to go back to Earth. She said that 99% of her wanted to stay with God because of all the love that she felt coming from God. The only reason she wanted to come back (the remaining 1%) was because she had two very small children who needed her right now so she decided to go back. My teacher told me this story and I believe that it is true although you guys may refuse to believe it. Just thought I'd share it. I just think that God asks you if you want to go back and gives you the choice. It's just to complex to understand but I'm sure God knows what he's doing.

What's the point in living, then. I might as well just get into bed and do nothing for all is already done for me. Sorry. I respect your beliefs but I CANNOT believe as you do. My life is my own and accidents happen. My future is not preordained. God made me with a mind and ability to do what I want to do and need to do.

yea.. i used to have this problem.. hmmm.. i mean.. i'm the one blaming.. but.. i had a serious thought about it and i realised tt its not god's fault or his doing whenever something goes wrong in yr life.. i mean.. do u thank him as often when something good happens to u? i mean.. thank him that u're still alive @ this very moment.. whenever things go wrong in my life now.. i turned it "why'd u have to do this to me?!" to "i've done this to myself.."

God is not responsible for anything in our lives good or bad. If he was responsible, then we should only have good and leave the bad when it is punishment time

Accidents happen and no one is to blame specially God. It is destined to happen, maybe it's a trial of your life. God knows everything and the reasons why things should happen. This is just my view. Have a nice day.

Things happen as they are bound to happen. As human as I am, I have to admit that I am a weak person. Has the tendency to collapsed and break down however I am thankful that behind me is a strong God.

hi!you know what...i was also like this before. i always ask God why things happened the way they are. i think this is really human nature, to point fingers to Him when things go wrong, and dont even bother to thank Him for the blessings He has given. Before when something wrong has happened the first thing that I do is ask God why, I am even angry in asking. But i have come to realize that i dont have anything to be angry about, because in the first place everything that i see around me are from God, and that i am only borrowing it for this lifetime. I have also realized that everything that happen has a purpose. I have learned this the hard way when someone i loved has passed on to the next life. i really cant understand before why must he be the one who should go when their are lot of evil persons out their who are into crimes and such. But i realized that God love him so much that He doesnt want him to suffer anymore, so He has taken him into His loving arms. And as for those persons who are commiting murder, rape etc etc...God is giving them chance to change their way because God also love them as He has love those who believe in Him. There are lots of things that i have realized in my past years. and the most important of all is that i shouldnt blame God for anything, i should even be thankful in Him for everything that he is and still doing in my life. Godbless my friend! Take care.

Well, see that's the thing. I don't blame God for the bad things that happen. Neither do I feel He is responsible for the good things. I am in charge of my life. He created me. He loves me. He allows me to lead my own life. I talk to Him, much like I talk to my earthly parents. But if I get a promotion at work, I did it. He taught me, as did my earthly parents, but I did it. Likewise when bad things happen, He didn't do it. Accidents happen and good things happen and I believe that He got it going, but he is causing nothing today. We are in charge of our own destiny.

when bad things happen, i will definitely blame someone. and that someone is always me. it is obviously my own decision that leads to each unwanted outcome. just like our parents that let us lead our own life, god also just observe how we react to each and every problem. he will help us every now and then, but all decision are made by us. so instead of blaming anyone, we should just reflect upon ourselves, and learn from our own mistakes.

Yeah your right, God is not responsible for the bad things that have happened to our life. I just believe that we only experience those things because the Lord knows we can handle that situation...He never did us to suffer but instead it was just a stepping stone to be more stronger and brave as we journey in our entire lives....The Lord is good, everything has a purpose, and everything has a reason to move on. We just have to be more closer to Him and more prayerful..because we never knew what would life be... Congratulations you still holding so tight to God...

I agree with you. God does not cause the bad things to happen to us. He leads us and often we go astray but He does not want evil or bad to come into our lives. It is up to us to make good things happen. I know there are those occasional incidents that are beyond our control. But I believe that God often sends us signals when they are upon us. Just like the email that I know most of you have seen that says don't get upset when traffic is slow or the phone rings as you are walking out the door to leave. This could be God's little way of keeping you from being in that five car pile up that happens to take the life of someone else.

Well,my faith to God isn't that strong like you so every time there is something happened in my life whether it is good or bad I don't blame him 'cause I know that it isn't him who decide what are the things should I do or feel.. It is me who choose whether to feel happy or sad.. If there is something doesn't acceptable then I will blame the person or things who cause the pain since it is not God who made all of this things but us.. All the decisions that I made, it is not him who told me but only myself and other people.. I only believe to those things that I've heard, touched and seen because sometimes believing to something without a proof isn't really good at all since people are fun making things possible even it is not exist..Every thing that is happening is not because it determine to happen but it happen for a certain reasons and it is up to you on how you want to know the reasons and to whom to would find the reasons..

My views are this I do not blame God for the bad things that happen.I am truly sorry for your loses and I have great respect for you r not falling into the trap of blaming God.I think many people have to blame someone as part of their grieving process and God is an easy scapegoat for this.We can be happy and thankful to God for the beautiful things in life ,like the sunset, the snow, being alive and able to have family around us.You are right the other things are accidents, just that accidents.Evil people are evil because they have mental disorders, and brain dysfunctions whatever.I hate what they do however I also feel bad they live wasteful lives they don't contribute anything useful to this world, most led horrible lives as children which helped in making them who they were.

What you just said is very true. It is the resultant of our karma that we perform in our various lives. It has nothing to do with God's will, directly. People normally have a habit of taking credit for all the good things, even if it is something which is not in their control. But the same people blame the God for whatever bad things happen to them. This is a very mean gesture. One should neither take credit nor blame anyone and the god for whatever happens in their lives. God has asked us to perform the karma without expecting the fruits for the same. Nothing and Nobody is to be blamed. I think, if your husband met an accident, it was his as well as your destiny to experience it. My condolence for what happened to you.
