What kind of car do you drive?

I'm not a driver, but I like cars, and have often thought about the type of car I would like to own if I did drive. I prefer a sporty look, but nothing too pricey. I would like to know what type of car you drive. Is it foreign or domestic? Sporty or luxury? Do you have a favorite color that you prefer? I have been told that the type of cars we drive says a lot about us. Do you think this is true? I don't agree with that statement because I know that many people drive what they can afford rather than what they really desire. On the other side, maybe you prefer a truck. Just curious.

I drive a Nissan Almera my friend, it's a 5 door, 1.8 litre automatic, metallic blue and very reliable, enough room for me, as I am tall and very comfortable, plenty of storage space and fairly economical on petrol. It is 3 years old, I bought it when it was a year old, It was quite expensive but it's my freedom and I was able to use it to move away from my ex so it's worth it's weight in gold, it passed it's first MOT in July which it has to go through in the UK. My baby, but I don't have a name for it!

Name it Wolfie, that's a good name LOL! My car called Wolfie, incidentially I did name my first two cars, now this is strange the first one I referred it as a female Rosie, the second I referred to it as male, Shane! I don't think should have to be feminine do you?

No, the name doesn't have to be feminine, wolfie! It should be called according to whatever the look of it inspires you to name it.

By all means you should name it, wolfie! My daughter used to own an old gray truck that she affectionately called Matilda.

I have a Holden Astra. Holden is the ridgy didge, true blue, dinky di Aussie brand of car...but this one was built in Germany. Astra is a 4 cylinder car and mine is a little 4 door sedan. My previous car was 25 years old and on it's last legs (wheels)...when my Dad lost his licence (Dad's 95) he gave me his car...it's a pale metalic fawn colour called champagne...my favourite tipple as it turns out... It's 10 years old but Dad didn't drive it much so it has a low kilometre count. I'm lucky to have it.

I am a truck and SUV person. We own a 94 ranger,96 F150,2001 explorer and a 89 bronco 4x4. So when I ride in a car I feel like I'm riding on the ground. Color really doesn't matter as long as its not a wild color . Our vehicles are 1-red,1-silver,1-white and a black one. I have heard that red vehicles are in more accidents than any other color.

I believe that red cars are also most often stolen, queenofarms. I know what you mean about the feeling of being "up there" when you are riding in a truck.

I drive a 1997 Mercury Sable thats a gold color. I bought used and because it was something with in my price range. I would love to have a truck but with my job it didn't seem like a good idea. The car i would love to have would be a vintage VW bug, preferably white with large hippie flowers on it. Or maybe a classic mustang. The chances of me getting those cars are slim to none so i am happy with what i have.

I think it's great that you have an appreciation for some older things, pheonixstar, and you're right to be content with what you have for now.
