Does It Drive You Crazy That The Notify Email Doesnt Tell You...

where the heck they posted their discussion at?? i have been trying (hopefully successfully) to make sure and make it to where either the subject line or the body of the message tells what interest its talking about or what its about in general.. i keep getting notification emails and you cant tell what the heck they are talking about because they will like go on about a movie or something but you dont know what movie since you cant see what its posted under.. and then if you reply and see it was something totally different you look insane and cant take it back.. shouldnt mylot have fixed this by now?? anyone else having a hard time replying to people due to not knowing what the heck their discussions are about?? maybe till mylot gets a clue and fixes it we should all make sure that either the subject line or the body of the message tells EXACTLY (or at least hints) what its pertaining.. that way people wont have to go to peoples profile and manually look up and find out.. not to mention you would get more quality responses and more people might respond since they will know what they are replying to just a thought from my little brain..

Hmm... I never really thought about it that much. I too receive a lot of notifications. AND must confess that most of the time, especially those that relate to serials, unless I have seen that show or the trailer, I usually do not know what the post is. If I understand what the discussion is talking about, I will reply to it. If not, I will just delete the notification and move on to the next. But your suggestion is good. TO post the topic the discussion is started in, together with the topic title would be helpful. Maybe you can post this suggestion to the ADMINS and see if they are willing to implement it for the benefit of all mylot members.

I too am looking forward to a better mylot. The changes they have done so far are pretty good. The only thing I wished they didn't change was the combination of the picture earnings and the posting earnings. Otherwise, mylot really rocks!

moonlitmagikchild, I don't really get my discussions from email notifications so I am not having that problem. You should send a message to myLot. As long as there are many voices saying it, they will have to do something about it. Have a nice day!

You are a great myLot citizen, not letting this problem keep you from doing good things.

That's happened to me several times. I've made a comment that is totally our in left field of the actual subject.

i wish we could just go back and delete it afterwards.. but that would screw up the system but i hate it when my answer is totally bizarre compared to the post and then every one thinks im nuts
