silent mode?
I do. My brother's know this so incase of emergency,they will just call and call until the phone's vibration wakens me.
It's the same with my husbands phone.
I have a friend who never puts her phone in silent mode and her nap time is very unpredictable. If you send an sms message while she is taking a nap, she will right away send back a message that you just woke her up when shes still resting. For me, she's the one who is inconsiderate. So, I never send messages until she sends me first. the messages I send are important messages.I amnot fond of sending qoutations or whatsoever.

I never put my cell phone on silent mode, but then it never is in the same room as I am when I am sleeping. I have a normal phone in my house so people would have to use that one. And, they'd have to leave a message on the answering machine as the odds of me being awakened by the phone are slim. Now, if they start screaming some emergency into the answering machine, that would wake me up and make me pick up the phone. Sleep is for resting, not cell phones

thank you. I think that friend of mine will just have to sleep with her cellphone away from her ears which is there all the time. When you call her in her landline,she will never hear it ringing since its in the living room. Only a few households use answering machines as cellphones are the in thing. I just hope my friend though wont have a nap either 10am or 1pm or 12 noon or 4pm. what a life!

Cell phones are indeed the in thing. But, not for me. I don't care all that much for regular phones and only use my cell to keep in contact with my wife and daughter when someone is out of the house. I guess the craze of cell phone mania will have to do without me

Ya, my phone is my alarm clock too. I need to wake up the kids at 5:30a to get ready for school. though in silent mode, the phone's alarm still comes. Im glad I have no friends who calls at night. I could rest well...thank you.

I keep my cell phone with me all of the time. Especially when I am sleeping due to the fact that my brother and daughter work at night and they use the phone as a two-way to contact me. I never put the phone in silent mode because then I would not hear it.

In cases like yours,mobile phones are of big help. They must not be in silent mode. Just like when my husband is on a trip, the phone is at its loudest.

yes, thats the problem with not putting your mobile phone in silent mode...we get to be disturbed. People just have to be considerate like avoid sending messages in ungodly hours if its not emergency. If everyone follows this,we dont need to silence the phone.thank you.
