Although I am a guy I have noticed that I spent a significant amount on my clothes.Even though it takes me way less than my girlfriend to find clothes I also spend a lot more than she does. The only thing that makes me feel better is that I dont go shopping that often. When I buy clothes I usually buy name brands and I always buy shoes to match. how about you?do you spend alot of money on your clothing?a lot of time?Do you think its different for a guy than a girl?who do you think spends more money clothes guys or girls? THANKS!!

oh, don't worry, my man can spend as well. but with these economic times, i don't spend anything on clothing. i still have clothing from high school, even though they don't fit. the last thing i bought with my actual money was a night gown which was $7 everything else was a gift or from a gift card. my mother keeps giving me gift cards to buy clothes because she knows thats the only time i'd actually go shopping for myself. i've bought more clothes for my kids then myself. the differences, i don't think there are any, it more depends on your style and personality on weather you would spend a lot on clothes, it also depends on how 'smart' you are in shopping. i would rather bargain shop weather if i had the money or didn't. i don't like to spend big bucks on things. on the other hand, if my husband hand the means to buy things, he'd go for the more expensive brand.

I'm a girl and I don't go clothes shopping that much. In fact, I really need to do some shopping but I just don't have the time nor a lot of money right now so I really can't go shopping and really get all the clothes that I need. I think it depends more on the person than the gender. Some girls love to go clothes shopping. I know a guy that loves to go clothes shopping. It's just not in my nature to go shopping all the time.

i dont spend so much on clothes.. really, i find spending money on clothes impractical... i buy a lot of clothes but i dont but those designer and really expensive ones.. i buy those that i can mix and match with my other clothes and i buy those cheap and items on sale.. that way i can buy a whole bunch of them!hahaha well, i love clothes and i love styling what i wear.. i am not really a die hard fashionista, but i try to be one at times!hehehe

hmmm.. you are sounding like a proud boyfriend!hehe and you should be!hehehe your girlfriend will make a good wife when you two will get married, sounds like she really knows how to budget and spend on what's important..hehe that's the difference i see between guys and girls though, guys tend to buy more expensive clothings, my boyfriend usually buy those that are labeled.. branded, and i think that's normal for guys, you dont want to have plenty of clothes, you just want few but they need to last really long and for most of you, brand really matters!hehehe

Dude: thrift store, marshalls, sears -- cut your yearly clothing bill in more than half and still get some solid clothing. It's not as bad as it sounds, but then again I don't think I'm all that cool

I have bought clothes at all those execpt thrift stores. Ive never tried it and I dont think I would just because I have to have a certain look when I work. I have friends who buy from thrift stores but they have more relaxing jobs and different styles than I do. Thanks for responding :]

Well, shopping is really nothing to me, I don't like it. Well, I like only shopping with some girls, hehe and go with them to the changigroom then it's good :)but except this I like better to order something via internet, fast and easy(sometimes cheaper). I spend the most on shoes, becuase it is the most importnat part of clothes set to me and one month I spend some cash on clothes then another two almost nothing I like to buy only things I need and only thing that will give me profit. I thing girls spend much more money on clothing, they care(not every girl) what they wear, how they looks etc. more than boys, well some boys this days are even worser, they just like barbie but woman are masters in all this shopping things.

I always spend a lot of money on clothes. I go out once a week to buy more and more clothes, and I just can't help myself! I always have to buy anything that I like when I see it; it's such a good job that I earn a fair bit on the internet.

No I never spent much on my clothing. Because i believe that i must have that much of cloths which fulfill my daily and weather needs. Like In office : Formal (3 are enough) In Party : Casual ( 3 are enough) In play ground : Lowers and uppers/ track suit (2 are enough) No showei cloths no bright colors. NO latest trends cloths. Besides that daily wash and wear clean cloths.. Thats nice and hygine... Bye

As a teenager I would spend more money on my clothes than I do now. I shop in the clearance/ sales racks a lot. I also watch for bargains. My kids clothes are usually a lot more expensive than mine. I like for them to dress well since they are a reflection of me. I try my best to find great quality clothing and even name brand clothes at a bargain. My daughter is into accessories right now so I spend a lot on jewelry too. My son does not care about his attire but I still find outfits with matching shirts, shoes, and jeans that are usually at great bargains.

Sometimes I go to this store where everything is on sale.My gf loves it..They have name brand clothing and accesories for a really low price. We barely go there thoug because its really far away from our house. I like these types of stores because you dont have to go to the sales racks since the whole store is on sale :] thanks for your response!

Well, i really like to have a wide variety of cloths, but I hate going out for shopping as i take aloooot of time to shop things up. If i want to buy shoes seriously i need around 4 to 5 hours to choose the best thing. I dont usually spend alot on shopping my cloths, but when i buy things i take the best.

I am not the typical female shopper. I hate to shop but will go when I need new jeans. I live in jeans all year except when it's really hot and then slip into shorts. I do like my shoes to match my slacks if I am dressing up to go out but during the day tennis shoes work very well. I do believe women spend more on clothes and accessories than men. When I am working, I can wear khakis or jeans so don't need to buy all kinds of slacks or shorts for work. Can also wear shorts to work.

I think one of the main reasons why I spend a lot of money is because I cant wear the same clothing that I wear at home or going out to work. I need slacks and dress shirts and nice shoes and those all expensive LOL

Hi Bri, I love to shop and when I do, I will be comfortable with sale, a nice and attractive one but with a right price and within my budget, my Hubby loves the expensive stuff but he always get it with a right deal but still when it is compared to mine, I am sure he spends more that I do this time..lol! I have no job so I think, I don't need a lot of clothes but when he will give me some money to shop, I will also enjoy it..LOL!

i use to spend more on my clothings and other accessories when i use to be in my college but now i am a housewife and i dont go daily outside and i dont feel of that much of clothes and when compared to before i have reduced my clothes shopping and i have a family no´w and i shop for them too. but i just go for the thing if i like it and buy that. it had been my habbit that if i like anything and i need it i buy that and i do the same now also but clothing expenditure i have reduced a little when compared to before. but i think if a person i going out daily for a job or studies they need more number of clothes. it had been my passion that i like to have more clothes and everytime i would like to wear something different and hence i purchase. i dont know wheather boys or girls spend more but i think in general if a person has a passion of different clothings and then they spend more.

Yah i also dont like to go for shopping always . BUT give my gf few times when she is coming for shopping. I always preferred the brands for my clothing. If i choice brand then some will be spent. Of course its differ for a guy than a girl because girls like to buy cloth to see their cloth here and there from the every shopping moll.

Clothes are a necessity in our daily living. For me, I find buying clothes essential especially if you are working in a reputable, high-end office job. It's okay to buy clothes with name brands as long as you are quite aware of your budget limits. Well, if you're earning much then go! splurge into signature brands, it's your money anyway. If not, then try to do substituting. Anyway, it is not really the brand that always count but how you wear them. I do spend money for my clothing simply because it is necessary for my job. I do love to shop for clothes. But I see to it that the amount I spend on them don't go overboard my budget. I try to buy clothes that don't easily go out of style and can be paired with any shoes or bags. On being a guy who spends on clothes, there is nothing to worry about. It is not a question on who should be spending more on clothing, guys or girls. As I've said, clothes are a necessity.
