Whats the longest you've ever had a hamster and the shortest

I only had one hamster and It lived excactly one year... It was sad cause I played with it for much time... It ether felt asleep on my hand several times :) hehe...

The longest time I had a hamster was 3 years. Actually, I found him outside my door. He was sitting there, then I walked to open my door and he followed. I walked back and he followed again. Finally I opened the door and he came in with me. So cute right! I couldn't bear to let him out in the wild, so I bought a cage and raised him. His name was Armani. He was also very smart. We didn't even toilet-train him, yet he already knew where was his potty. We could let him run in the balcony, then when he was tired, he could jump back into his cage himself. We placed pails of water there, so he could used them as steps. His cage was under a desk, covered with wooden boards so he could not jump out. I really missed him when he went, but I knew I had given Armani a great life already.

I think the longest we've had one was a little over 3 years. The shortest was I think only a weekend, it was a sick one from the pet shop that went downhill fast. Another short one was one I fell in love with at the hamster rescue, and he was quite old already and only lived a month longer. But I wanted him to have a real home so I had brought him home. He was a sweetie.

I had a female black bear hamster who we named "Bear" and she lived for about 3 years. She would always greet me and want me to pick her up when she heard my voice, I do miss her too.
