got a lawyer for my SSI

he said it take up to 20 months to hear anything aahhh whats the hold up anyway his assistant was intreveiwing me for my case an wanted to know why i took 6 years off of working I told her to take care of my dying grannie she said why i said cause she couldn't feed or dress herself an needed help walking to the bathroom when she made it to the bathroom an yes she looked at me an said again why i wanted to smack her you know she will be put in a home when her time comes

How rude! Yes, you took off work to care for a sick family member. She is acting like you should have just stuck her in a home. I hate people like that. If there is a way to keep someone out of a nursing home then I think that is the best option. Good luck with your SSI case. Hope it does not take 20 months.

I'm glad that you got a lawyer, Enola... Those SSI people are trained to deny all claims from the very beginning as a delaying tactic! Your lawyer should be able to smooth things out for you, and I hope that you will be successful as quickly as possible!
