Hi... I need help with some tips how to make my 2 years old daughter stop sucking her pacifier. I'm afraid that her behaviour sucking pacifier will effect her dental bones and teeth. CAn anybody give me some tips?

yeah, the best thing is pretty much just cold turkey, tell her you lost it or just don't give it to her. they're cry and whine for a while, but eventually they'll get over it. i never gave my kids pacifiers, well, i did, but it ended up being tossed across the room.

Why not just throw them all away? Yes, you will have an upset child for a while, but your child will forget all about the pacifiers before long, especially if she doesn't see them around. Another idea is to cut off the nipples of all the pacifiers so she can not effectively suck on them. She can still hold them for security. Yet another idea is to make it a fun game for her to give them away. Tell her that little babies need them and she is a big girl now. Let her put them in a bag and then, dispose of them. When she cries for one, just remind her that she gave them to the babies to make them happy because she is such a big girl. I hope one of these choices helps you. The main thing you should do is to be sure not to give in once you have gotten rid of them. It would only be harder to get rid of the second time around.
