Is the physical figure so important?

In my university, i always find that cute guys are so popular and surrounded by many girls. A friend of mine has ever told me that a cute guy climb to the top place of a student organization just because he is cute. So i feel down sometimes,because i'm not so outstanding in appreance. It seems that social success is much more important and study has been left behind.I post this discussion just to konw how you guys think....

If physical figure so important then people could not be falling in love, I guess physical fugures is just a factor which should not bother you very much.

Sadly what you say is very true my friend, so many people base your success on your looks and if you haven't got the 'look' then you won't go far in life, I do not have the look and I have seen guys who are attractive get everything they want in life, and it is also true that life isn't fair and we can only watch as they reap the rewards and get all the attention. But hopefully one day they will lose their beauty and they won't be so popular, we have to work twice as hard to match them and without having the looks we have a long battle to fight.

I think physical appearances only get the initial attractions from people, but it really is the the inner beauty and personality the wins out in the end..it is just that the inner beauty takes longer to be found but it will last longer than the physical figure...
