I though I would get crazy, too. But actually it isn't that bad. Some time, I wasn't allowed to use the computer for a whole month! The problem is that I was a heavy MMORPG and MUD gamer, and the prolonged period of computer inactivity would affect my characters in the game, it might even cost me many hours hard gaming. With that thought ripping my heart, I soon forgot about all that after the first few days. But still, it was very hard for me to get back in the game and took a while to restore my computer-usage pace. So "don't worry, be happy".

True, nowadays most of us pay bill through net, is so convenience and easy. No need to wait for long queue. I still remember where one of the government sector's server is having problem and the branch have nothing to do and just sitting there for whole day. Such a bad situation if really don't have pc.

You see in today's world, every thing is based on computers, latest technology, without computers, I cannot imagine 99% of the things happening right now. Computer does your work, it organizes and manages your life, it provides entertainment stuff, it crashes too though :, but anyway, if you removed it out of my life, I do not know, may be I'll go mad and run to the woods, and scream out names :P

Share with you on the method i deal with when i need to do presentation but is not in front of computer. =) I get a paper and draft out each slide's content and just apply the whole thing when i have the computer. Not a perfect method, but at least a workaround. But still, if without computer, is really a nightmare ..

yes, i think i will need some adjustment to get used to without my computer for a week but then there are other things that i can do too like going for a game of soccer, basketball, snookers etc. i could also take the opportunity to go on a short trip with my family maybe away from the city and enjoy the clean and fresh air in the countryside. I went trekking in Nepal about 10years ago for about 10 days. i was without computer then but there are other things that attracted my attention and keep me occupied. i did not miss my computer then.

Hmmm. Good idea, travel to get rid of computer. I have difficulties to do that, because i tried that before where i went to my honeymoon for 3 weeks, my e-mailbox "explode" and need to use weeks to clear that and follow up back on pending actions. =(
