I don't trust doctors so I see a nurse practicioner and her I do trust . She has been able to find out what was wrong with me when doctors were not able to . I went to see the doctors for years because I had all the symptoms for a Thyroid problem and they wouldn't even check me and would tell me that I was to young for something like this not to worry about it . When I first went to see her she picked up on this right away without me even mentioning it to her . Also I went in for stomach problems one time and was told by a doctor to take a cetain medication but ended up seeing her for another problem and she found out that if I had taken this medication that it could seriously have harmed me because they misdiagnosed me so I only see her now and have little to no trust when it comes to doctors . They have made so many mistakes in the past and one of them near cost my son his life .

I never seem to be in one place long enough to ever even get to KNOW a Doctor let alone form trust or distrust with them! lol. But back in my home country I did use the saem Doctor regularly and I did trust him not just with me, but with my children also. After going to a Doctor a few times yourself you get to know pretty quickly whether they are sincere and capable or not.

My doctor is no different than all the doctors here. He is a very pleasant man and I feel I can tell him anything, but he's over booked and doesn't listen to half of what I say and he's still talking while he has his hand on the door knob opening the door on his way to his next patient while he's asking me to book an appointment in a months time.

Generally off late I do not trust doctors. But, when you are sick, then you need to trust them whether you like it or not. But, we do have a family doctor in my home town whom I trust. Unfortunately, the distance from my home town now is so big, that I can hardly consult him on anything. Cheers! Ram

I trust my doctor here. He is the one properly diagnosed and proposed a comfortable treatment method for me to recover from sciatic pain. Currently I am under his treatment. But sorry to say that there are some doctors, who wrongly diagnose and prescribe medicines which will lead to further complications. I am victim of such wrong prescription. When this sciatic pain started, I consulted a physician, who directed me to have an ultrasonic abdominal scan. After scanning they told that I have one stone at my left kidney. that is the reason for pain at back. OK, I continued medicines for months and the pain is not reducing. When it became difficult for me to walk, friends told to consult another doctor. After checking and analyzing, he found a disc prolapse and prescribed physiotherapy, long and machine stretching. Now, I am almost recovered and am able to walk. Such kind of doctors are also there in the world.

I live in a small town and the economy has the doctors here coming and going, I have had 3 new doctors in the past 3 years. I changed doctors this year in April, the reason was because the doctor I was seeing stopped taking insurance and you pay for a visit on a cash basis only. Now I have to get used to this new doctor. I like him so far, but I have to learn and know him before I can say I totally trust him.

Ahhh.... doctor is someone who i don't consider as my friend... I don't like visiting doctors and often avoid going to them even if i am sick till the time i think i can recover from the illness by myself. But yes when i visit the doctor i make myself sure that i will follow his prescription regularly...

i will only go to a doctor i trust. i trust my doctor because he listens to me and if he can not figure it out he will try untill he does also he doesnt give me the most expensive prescribtions or sometimes he will give me alot of samples and tell me if i need more to just come back and tell them. He sits down with me and talks and he jokes around and just generally treats me like a person.
