What is the effect of the milk scare to you? Have stopped drinking milk and become suspicious with the liquids that you drink thinking that it might contain some substances from China?

I am not a milk drinker since I am one of those people with problems on milk. However, the melamine scare really affected us because we have many china made products here like chocolates and candies which we can eat everyday but we don't want to because we are not sure if they are safe. We had decided not to buy any china made products and focus on buying things made locally. Not only do we help our economy but also it made us feel safer because we know how meticulous Filipino are when it comes to their foods.

The issue of contamination would surely extend to other China products and may become "China-made product scare." Remember the contaminated toys? Chemical labs would surely be working on analyzing other products and other contaminations of some sort might again be uncovered.

I'm not so concerned about the milk itself here but I am wary of anything else that may contain milk products and may have come from China, especially candy stuff and other Chinese food related products. I had enough of the scare when they had those chemicals in the salmon and sold it here. There were stores who quickly tried to sell it off cheap before it was pulled off the shelves. Just really have to watch out.

That's true. Melamine is also found present in other milk products from China.

All our milk comes from a local dairy and not from china. I didnt even know that there was an issue with milk from china. It is disturbing to me. What will we have to worry about next?
