I'm a catholic by faith. I know the teaching about the commandments of Christs, but when i have this ten commandments discuss our class, based on catholic teaching, Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain but when I have a look at it in the Bible it says, not on the 2nd commandment , it goes on the 3rd commandment . The second is this, You shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven and on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth, you shall not bow down to them or serve them. I'm a catholic but a little bit confuse about commandments. Anyway, the greatest commandment somehow ruled, is the commandment Jesus gave us: One, Love God with all your heart , with all your soul and with all your mind . Second, Love your neighbor as you love yourself.Could you make a difference, to clear my points of view.

I am of a protestant faith. It seems pretty obvious why catholics would want to leave that one out. Jesus also said that all the law of the prophets hang on the two he labeled as the highest. Obviously if you love God with all your heart and soul than its going to negate a lot of the other ones and if you love your neighbor as yourself than you wont think of doing the other ones either because love worketh no evil as the scriptures say. So accomplish the two Jesus said and you will accomplish the rest.

as for me, i really donot know all the teaching a Catholic religion has,but if a catholic man/woman trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that He is the only saviour, stated in John 4:6 (it is Jesus saying this verse) I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the father except by me...And believe in his heart that no one can save him but Jesus, then that Man or Woman is save and will be listed in the book of life. He will called children of God and will Inherit his kingdom. I donot go for religion to be save, i do not go to Mary to be save or even to all the saints in the world...It is only, my faith in Jesus and his grace upon me that makes my soul at rest in him... I also believe that I am a sinner save by grace...amen

You might want to take another look at your Catholic faith. It also says not to call anyone "father" but the father. It doesn't say anything about marring God as priests do and praying to Mary will get you nowhere. Why not just be a Christian following only Jesus teachings?
