Do you preserve the birthday cards you receive?

I do preserve all the cards i receive, unmindful of what occasion it may denote. I preserve them so that one day when i look at them leisurely i recall all the golden moments of love and affection that i lived. My friend has an even better way of acknowledging the love. He frames the cards that he loves most and puts them in the hall of his home. Also he preserves the gifts he receive and puts them in the showcase in his home hall. Its a really exciting feeling when i go to his home and watch some of my cards and gifts there. How about you? Share your experience and feelings.

it depends upon the cards I am receiving. if it's a handmade from a friend of mine, love ones, whether it doesn't look good, I will for surely keep it. if they just bought it, and it doesn't have message inside, I will just throw it.

You are a bit selective it means. i agree that the cards made by the friends and loved ones are more meaningful and worthy. thank you for participating in the discussion.

Yup ^_^ Be it they are from my frenz or ex gfs, i still keep them all ^_^ Because it acts as a form of memory for me, and that, in this day and time, not much ple are sending birthday cards anymore ^_^ tHus, that makes all past birthday cards even more precious ^_^ hehe Wow, seems like your frenz house is very big and i believe it's a pretty sight too, to be able to see all those nice pretty birthday cards being frame up too ^_^ And this gives me an idea, of what i can do for my room too.. lol =D

Thats a good thing to hear that you preserve all the cards you get. i do agree that not many will keep sending cards and wishes regularly. so it is a good habit to preserve those moments by saving the cards.

I used to save my birthday cards I received when I was a kid. I got too many of them and no longer wanted to store them. I had to finally get rid of all of them. I saved a couple of special ones though.

thanks for the response. very good to hear that you did save those cards. yeah i can understand that when we collect too many then we tend to preserve the most important only.

I preserve all the greeting cards that I get. But now in the age of SMS and emails we hardly get any greeting cards. I would before have a frame at home in which I would keep changing the cards and keeping them in the hall.....

I still have some of the birthday cards and special occasion cards given to me. It's not alot but I kept them inside a box and some I use for cut-outs and pasted them in the scrapbook I made.

wonderful that you preserve them and wished to give them a new dimension by creating a book with them. good luck.
