Yep the big 40, at the top of the hill! I'll bet you didn't know that the following list of everyday foods were considered POWER FOODS for women over forty. According to this article I read at more.com, nutritionist Christine Gerbstadt, MD, a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, claims "Once you're 40, counting calories is key. Nearly every major chronic disease -- including heart disease and many forms of cancer -- is linked to weight gain,"... The article goes on to say that a combination of these foods are very healthy, and combat a whole host of things, including lower risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer, lower LDLs-the bad cholesterol, just to name a few!
