For some reason, I'm getting acne like breakouts
lately. I got a really bad pimple on my chin the other day.
It's gone now.
I'm wondering if it's related to my diet or something I ate.
Maybe it was caused by some type of allergic reaction.
What causes you to break out with pimples?
And, what's your best tip for getting rid of pimples?

I still get pimples once a month, and it's related to hormones. I don't do anything for them anymore because most of the acne medicines made it worse. I just cover it up if I feel the need, but I'm not overly self conscience so I just leave it alone mostly. It goes away pretty quickly.
When I was a teenager I swore by Noxema. That's about the only thing I've ever used frequently on my face.

Ditto! I was the Noxema queen.
I would leave that stuff on my face
for half an hour and then rinse off.
I rarely had pimples, ever!
Think I'm going to get some more of that.

I never had much of an acne problem either. It has always only been one or two around that time of month. The only time I ever had a real problem was when I was pregnant with my twins, and nothing would fix that.

too much skin or or sweating will do it with me.
i just try to keep my face as clean and dry as possible daily.
for swollen ones, believe it or not,a lil dab of preparation H will knock it down to nothing...um..i'd recommend a new tube for that though.

A lot of causes for sure when I get one. It could be related to stress, work, problems with money, your diet may also affect this, water intake? (am not sure though..) and other related problems...menstrual cycle is one of my major reasons why I get a pimple..Darn, I wish all of this stuff in my face to fade..
A regular wash on your face they say is one of a good habit to stay away from this problem...it only stays away but it doesn't get rid off. At least right?.

I get the hormonal pimples too.
Just one or two.
When I was pregnant, I had a horrible
pimple on my cheek (on my jaw) and it was
so painful.
Finally went away!
That thing was hideous.

I thought that I was the only
one who broke out with sodas.
I think it's the carbonation but it
could be one of the ingredients.

Pimples are caused by dirt and oil. Wash your face twice a day and dont eat oily foods too much. You will see that your face gets better day by day .

I think mine might be stress related or my diet - I've put on weight over the last few months and have noticed they are appearing more and more not only on my face but on the left side of my neck - weird. I'm going to check out the blog link one of the posters posted above.

I seldom get pimples nowadays - past that 'young' age . Anyway, if I do get pimples, it's either that I've been eating too much oily /spicy food, or I'm under stress.
I use a medicated clearing booster from Dermalogical that I would apply on the pimple, and usually in a day or two, it would either dry up or subside.

in my case, i got my pimples every time my period is coming, but afterwards its gone, and also when i sleep late at night. I also refrain from eating fatty foods and high carbs foods. Im really aware of my diet cause my doctor says it was one of the reasons why im having so much pimples.
