Hairspray? like it or not?

I was just wondering who all liked hairspray because I hate it, it makes me hair feel crunchy and brittle and I have very thick hair. It smells bad too and people let you know that, I mean I wish I could get a curl to stay in a different way because hairspray just doesn't work for me and my hair is straight and doesn't tame well.

I prefer to use the spray in gel or mousse over hairspray. As hairspray makes me itch really bad. Now my daughter who is only eight. Like sthe hairspray. But she also like sto feel the crunch of her hair. I haven't figured out why. I am hoping it is just a phase she is going through.

probably is lol, I like gel or like a wax type as long as it doesn't dry on my hair and make it white and crusty.
