A warning for flea & tick treatments

I don't know if you use any of these products or not, but I thought I would post this just in case. These products are killing peoples pets and are still in stores.
I found some of them in my arsenal of flea treatments, and got rid of them.

Thank You for this information, my dog has had seziures in the past it was rare and they never lasted long but once I used a flea collar on him and and he had several in the matter of days one which lasted about 30 min. I spoke to my vet about it and he said flea collars can not make them have seziures its a mental problem. Well I really had my doubts as to what to believe but now I think I was right flea products can make your pets have seziures even more so if they have had them in the past. (by the way you forgot your r in hartz and the link will not work)

Out of curiosity, when you took the collar off, did the seizures go away? I think some of the treatments are worse than the problem. My dog had temporary paralysis from one 'spot' flea treatment, and when I swapped to another brand (both were bought through my veterinarian) she had almost instant blisters from an allergy to whatever was in it. I've gone back to a spray-on product that I've used on my pets for years. It's safe for dogs and cats, and more importantly, it works. I only treat them when I see evidence of a problem. I don't use 'precautionary chemicals' myself, so I no longer submit my pets to them either.

I used the flea collar about a year ago and since he has had only one small seziure he's had seziures before wearing the collar but I felt like the collar was making him have them more often and more servere. The flea products from the vet and other flea treatments dont seem to bother him. He will be 7 in April and thats the only time he has had seziures like that but his mother is also epileptic but even shes never had any like that but then shes never wore a flea collar either.
