Your post count only goes up when you RESPOND to posts, not when you start discussions of your own, or comment on responses - but only once per discussion. I don't know why but that's the way myLot does it. You're not that far away from 500 at all.

I am not sure what you mean. If you start your own discussion, your post count does NOT go up. When you RESPOND to discussions your point count goes up. If you COMMENT on someone's RESPONSE, your point count will go up but ONLY ONCE per discussion. That is, if you make comments on several different responses in the same discussion, your point total will go up only on the first one. HOWEVER, this does not mean it doesn't affect your earnings. We don't know how they figure out our earnings. They want to keep that secret, for good reason. People would abuse the system if they knew exactly what gives them earnings. That's what was happening when I first started on myLot in 2006. People were giving short, one line responses, commenting on every response, evening making responses that had absolutely nothing to do with the discussion. Just participate, enjoy the discussions, and don't worry about your point count. I don't even look at it that much... only when I hit a milestone number. But I don't notice if it went down when discussions are deleted.
