Have you ever worked as a volunteer in a political campaign?

I have always wanted to volunteer in a political campaign, so this year I did. The candidate I worked for, alas, did not make it into the final race. But it was very exciting. A day or 2 ago, I was called by the current candidate's office to help out in the local office for his campaign. I am thinking about going to volunteer for a couple of hours tomorrow morning. I feel like I'm a part of history for doing these things. Have you ever volunteered to help a politician get elected? If so, did you like doing it? If you haven't, why not?

Some days, it's the weather and some days it's because I've been up too late. If I go to bed and get up at the same time, I have way more energy than if I stay up late. Take care

I have been thinking about this lately. I think I might get more involved for the next running for the president! It sounds like fun. It will be very interesting!

I must say that it's a a pretty interesting process. Everybody should do it at least once. It can be alot of work for no pay, but still, an experience you'll never forget. Hope you do it. Take care.

When I left my job, so I worked for a candidate for mayor. Everyone's efforts were not in vain, because he did win. It involved letter writing to neighbors, calls to people who had not voted in the last election (to get them out to vote), etc. It was boring, time-consuming, with no pay. But I used this Mayor for reference to get a job!

Boring, time-consuming, and no pay. Now let me see, do I really wanna do this? LOL. I guess I feel that being a part of this national political campaign will allow me to someday say that I was a part of history-making, regardless of what the results are. That is so cool that you were able to use the Mayor for a job reference. Great!

Nope. I am not the one for politics. I dislike politicians as all of them in my country are corrupt.

Hello pkraj111. I am sure that many people in this country feel the same way about our politicians as you do about yours. Sorry to hear you are so discouraged. Hopefully, someone you really like will someday come along and inspire you. Good luck. Thanks for your response.
