What were your favorite childhood books? Do you read the same ones to your children?

wow, tough one. yes, I do read them to my kids. let's see...Chronicles of Narnia, Bobbsey Twins, Pippi Longstocking, Charlotte's Webb, Winnie the Pooh...and we have discovered some new ones together, Little House series (I never read them as a kid), Watership Down.... good stuff reading together!

Charlotte's Web was wonderful -- there was a terrific animated movie made that was quite good, too!

I read ALLLL of the Bobbsey Twins books when I was a boy, but my favorite to read to my kids and grandkids is The Velveteen Rabbit!

I LOVED the Bobbsey twins books -- and the Nancy Drew series, too. I hadn't thought about those in years!

My absolute favorites were..Hansel and Grettle,Snow White,my aunt even had a snow white book written with me in the book..and i still have it!!lol..3 pigs,jack and the beanstock,and my favorite ever was little red riding hood..I have read to my son since he was in my tummy...heck the day I found out i started reading!! hahahah!! But he hates Hansel and Grettle he got nightmares from it..but his favorites are 3 pigs and goldielocks...Thomas and friends,and cinderella...he liked the whole changing everything from pumpkins to meece lol..

i read with my daugher.. now that she is older she wants to read and me to listen. Most of the books that I read when I was a kid, she is not interested in.

i love the little critte books and all of the dr seuss books. i not only read them to my daughter i try to buy her as many books as possible so that when she can read she has a great collection and doesn't think reading boring
