ErrollLeVant started a new discussion called Can It Really Be So Long? in christian.

I began going to church when I was five. I went to VBS at the invitation of Arta Jackson, a widowed neighbor lady. I loved it and I loved my teacher. I continued to go with Mrs. Jackson, every Sunday. Sometime later my Sunday school teacher came to our house to meet my mom. Soon Mom, my sister and brother started going to services, too. Mom was baptized when I was in third grade. When I was in ...

Pure religion is biblically defined as caring for widows and orphans in their distress and abstaining from sin. I once heard NBA Hall of Famer, Julius Irving, say, “No man stands taller than he who stoops to help a child.” There are thousands of helpless children in this country, as well as in foreign lands, who need assistance from able families who a good and, particularly in my mindset, ...

there are not any good persons, all are sinners. but those that want to be in heaven must be in Christ.

The end is coming, but no one knows when, not even the "highly advanced" Mayans. And it is pretty arrogant of man to think that man can do anything to stop it.

I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. But may I urge you to read these passages that indicate baptism,as a faith response to the Lordship of Jesus, is indeed for the forgiveness of sins: Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-5, Galatians 3:26-27, 1 Peter 3:21. Each one indicates the necessity of baptism in the re-birth process.

I admire your dedication. We also did quite a bit of foster work, but oly adopted one special needs child. Now we are raising her two children!

Don't Argue With the Alarm Clock!

Pocket Veto

In recent days I have been reminded that some people have made a conscious rejection of Jesus as the divine Son of God. They are outspoken in their denunciation of the claims of Scripture. They...
