When I first came to hostel, I knew only how to boil rice, egg, potato, lady’s finger, pumpkin etc. That was my knowledge of cooking. In hostel, I learnt to cook curries. It was a nice experience…

Well would you mind sharing your favorite recipe then? I would love to try one! How long did it take you to learn this and do you feel comfortable with it now? Knowing how to cook is a very important skill and it will serve you well in life!

Sorry for late reply. Just cut the vegetables. Take onions cut them into very small pieces, fry them red. Then add little turmeric to make thoseonions yellowish. Then pour the chopped vegetables, fry a bit. Then pour water slowly to avoid splash. Cover the pan, and let the water boil. When vapours come out of the cover, pin the vegetables with the spoon to understand whether they are soft. If so, add salt. Let the salt get dissolved, then you may pour some garlic paste, mix that thoroughly for 2 minutes at sim. Then you can put off the stove, and keep it covered, till you start eating. It's amatter of 15 to 20 minutes.
