Would you hug someone who is not yet your boyfriend? let me elaborate, supposing you have a mutual understanding with someone, then he ask you to hug him, would you do it? for me, i would hug him to let him feel that i care and love him. though we dont have a formal commitment, i would still do because i cant see nothing wrong with it. plus everyone needs at least 3 hugs a day to survive, this is according to studies.

To each his own. I hug everyone, and I have countless friends who are like that. Hugs aren't something that should be shared between just lovers. Kisses are, but hugs are free-for-all.

hi there. that would be the best thing that you will be doing. you will strengthen you relationship when you do that everyday. dont limit it to 3, hug him even more and also say i love you as often as you can.

i will not hug someone who is not my BF yet. But in the case if the mutual understanding is there, then there is no such problem.

I usually hug a lot of people because it helps me going, just liek coffee, only it helps the affection center thingie inside. And hugging someone doesnt usually mean u feel something deep for that person.

well i don't mind giving a hug to my friend. i hug my friends, be it male or female. it's not as if the hug carries some other meaning. give a hug to a friend is pretty normal to me. i've got male friends asking for a hug after not seeing each other for a long time. we do it in front of our own partner. they too understand that there is nothing in the hug. i've given hugs to my female friends when i feel they need it. so a hug is really just a hug. cheers ;p

hi there friend, i would agree with you that there is nothing wrong with a hug we usually give this to people who we cared most and hugging a person that you love is nothing wrong at all. i would do it for i want the person to know how much i care and feel towards him. hope this helps. :)

Yes, I would hug. And, I would make sure he knew that their is a difference in the hug. People need to learn to build relationships before getting married. And, yes I believe in the 3 or more hug rule!

I hug male friends everytime we see each other but this is because we haven't seen each other for a while. I'm quite conservative with the affectionate touches when around acquaintances but when I'm around close friends (that includes guys), I am touchy-feely. I guess because there's no malice attached to it that's why I don't give it much thought. I would hold onto a male friend's arm while Boyfriend is there. So where were we, oh yes, hugs... I think it's just normal to do so when you're happy to see your friends. For your scenario, I would hug him too. I mean if the two of you care for each other, why not? xoxo

I don't think giving a hug is committing to anything. It is just a gesture of humanity and friendship. 3 hugs a day eh, well I didn't get any today. Of course I have been home all day and I live alone. I'll be out for most of the day tomorrow so maybe I'll get a hug or maybe a couple of handshakes or a few smiles.

As a married woman I think I'm pretty careful with my hugs. I think I'd avoid hugging someone that might be sexually attracted to me. It would be very awkward and upsetting if the hug resulted in some type of excitement. However I agree that in general hugs are harmless. I hug most of my girl friends, and all of my family members. Thank goodness for my little hug monster (my son) I think he must be the reason I've survived this long.
