suicide

i predict we will see more suicides cases as the economy turn for the worse in the next few months. with more losing jobs, losses in investments, business failures, financial woes etc, some will turn to suicide as a quick end to end their problems and miseries. this is a really sad way to end one's life as life is not only about $$$$$. $$ lost can be made back, but once a life is lost, it will never come back. so let us be more tolerable, understanding, sensitive to those around us who may fall under this category and assist them to tide over the bad times. it is also a good time for us to strenghten oour friendships, family ties and pay attention to each other as a little more concern may mean the difference between life and death.

I would rather say people are becoming more and more resilient to change. The will to adjust is becoming finer, easy to break. People see themselves no longer on how they view themselves in the mirror, but rather on what people and institutions make of them. It's the lack of courage to fight. People tend to view themselves as victims rather than conquerors of challenges.

you raised an interesting point and i agree with you. maybe u are right that pp lack the resilient these days. we see more and more pp getting depressed or do silly things over the slightest matters or minor setbacks. in the past, these cases would not even raised an eyebrow to many. maybe the younger generations have got pamper to a certain extent that life is comfortable and most of them have almost everything since young so they are not ready to accept failure when some things are taken away. they lack the will to fight and get it back

Hi friend,The great economic crisis cannot be revived very soon ,but slowly it could be brought to normal. It has adverse effects on the whole world. But your statement is true that this is the right time when all the relation could come closer and revive their lost love, when each and everyone help others in crisis. Its at the time od difficulties the lost love and friendship among families and relations could be felt and revived. We become more strong only when united and the crisis of economy would turn to nothing .thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

yes. communication is very impt now to each other to find out how each other are doing. it is better to voice or let it out rather than bottled worries down. the pressure is tremendous and difficult to bear.

I think that may be true. I guess only time will tell. Too bad our government won't do more to help us, but rather they'd give tons of money to large banks, who put themselves in that position anyway.

yes, but let hope those responsible be penalised for it. then it would be fair to us.

This is very sad, but I fear you are right. Sometimes people feel so overcome by losing their means of supporting their family they are unable to see they still have family who love them. It must be very hard to know your family are counting on you to provide for them when everything has gone wrong and you no longer feel you can. I hope very much that people affected by the financial crisis happening at the moment are able to take a deep breath and realise all things pass and they can come out of the other side. Far better to rebuild their lives again than not have that choice at all.

yes, they must understand all is not lost yet, they still have their love ones and as long as they do not give up, there is possiblity of rebuilding back again

Well, there is that story of the guy that recently killed himself and his family. It will get better, but some people won't be able to survive, and it is possible and likely that you are right.

i really want to hope i am wrong but like what u said, i am likely right. the challenge here is to try our best and be on the lookout, as someone around u may be in such a state and let us not assume that they are well and should be optimistic only but to go 1 step further and let them know we are there for them to fall back on and lend a shoulder to cry on as long as it is within our means.

Don't be pessimistic. The economy will recover. It doesn't mean that the US market drop doesn't mean that the world will collapse. There's always solition to the problem. If people keep on bugging and complaining it become worse. High anxiety worsen the case.

What a foresight you are having... I do agree with you that the comming days are going to be tough as the economy is getting worse day by day. In the days to come we may find many cases of sucide. Your idea is excellent that we should try to strenghthen the friendship or our social ties. We must support those who are victims of such a bad situation. Our little support may give them courage to look at the life with positive attitude. As rightly stated by you, the most important thing here is that we must have strong inter human relationship and strong binding with each other. That will help many people to fight against the adverse situation.

yes. i am glad u agree with me. we must learn to face the problem. while it is good to be optimistic, the reality is otherwise and we must learn to be realistic and prepare for the worse and all possible scenarios. when writing this article, i am not being pessimistic but rather from preventive is better than cure mindset.

yes thats true that the world economy is going through a rough patch & people are having a hard time everywhere. just a a couple of weeks back when there was a fall in the share markets, i read it in newspaper, that a man poisoned himself along with his entire family & a middle-aged man dying from heart attack just because they have lost most of their income. they should know how to cope in this bad time.
