Dead Spiders and Dust

October 12, 2008 4:50pm CST
I was just wondering, am I the only one out there who has a house filled with dead spiders and dust? It doesn't seem to matter how often or how well I clean, or not - I still always seem to be able to find more places with dust and dead spiders lurking there. When I was a kid (in Africa) I don't remember mum having the same problems with keeping the house clean and spider/dust free... but then I was a kid, maybe I just wasn't looking. Does anyone else have similar problems? Or am I alone with this one? Violetdreams

Lol, the cleaning never seems to end, does it? I noticed however that here in the US my house gets dustier faster than back in Germany where I grew up and lived on my own for a while (so I had chance to take notice). I noticed a connection between the ventilation system and the dust distribution. The air blown through the system seems to carry dust with it and the spiders and bugs seem to love it as an easy entry route.

Yeah, I too have a dust epidemic with the cat's dander and the dust ist seems non stop. I do not have a spider problem, every now and then I might see one. In the city I think you can never get rid of dust. I once lived where there were big trees in front of my house, every time I would go outside I would have to pass through the tree spider webs, they were little green spiders and often times they were in the house. I hate spiders, doesn't matter how small or how big, to me a spider is a spider.

No you aren't alone. My house is the same way. I'm not sure why because I'm always killing spiders and I'm always vacuuming and cleaning to try and get rid of the dust but it seems like it never accomplishes anything at all. It's rather annoying. Sometimes I give up on cleaning because no matter how often I clean I still have about 100 spiders or piles of dust to clean up.

Hi violetdreams. I live in FL and I do have a problem with tiny spiders in my house at times. The house I'm in now isn't as bad as the last one because it's newer but I do get them. The teeny tiny ones. As far as the dust, not too much.

I dust constantly because of alergies and the dust builds up pretty quickly. I think when you have to be picky like I do, you dust every week. I also have a hepa filter vacume and I vacume several times a week.It really helps when you have alergies as bad as I do.

If this problem is haunting you, then you become worried about cleaning the house all the time. For me, I barely pay any attention to the dust, so I live joyfully without cleaning too much. I see no spiders. But in our city, due to the hot and humid weather throughout the whole year, there are cockroachs all over. We have to poison the cockroachs periodically, in the company or back at home.
