there was a text message circulating around, which is on October 17,2008 there will have 36 hours day time and 36 hours darkness in US, how do you find it scientifically and traditionally?how true?

hi gotetet how on earth can you have 36 hrs of daytime and 36 hours of nighttime in a 24 hour day? pray tell me how this can happen. somebody has screwed up something royally.iam here in theUS and I have not heard this in. maybe the textese is screwed up . our days are only 24 hrs long.

hello, i got that message from a friend, it reads. " Coming October 17, 2008 the sun will rise continuously for 36 hrs. (1.5 days). during this time the US countries will be dark for 1.5 days. it will convert 3 days into 2 big day. it will happen once in 2400 years. we're very lucky to see these. this is a global phenomenon." Courtesy of CNN/BBC NEWS. i don't know if it's true but it also strucks me like you did.

hey there! i also received this kind of text message from a friend of mine.like you,i'm not quite sure yet.i haven't heard this in the news yet.hopefully,this will be cleared.if this is true,then we're one lucky human beings to be able to experience this kind of phenomenon.i guess it will be weird but cool at the same time.happy mylotting!
