I would canvass the neighborhood and put flyers in mailboxes. The worst thing that can happen (I think) is that no one calls you. You can also put the link to your site on bookmarking sites like Delicious. Its hard to really sell things like Avon, not because their products aren't good, but because there is one on every street corner just about. Unless of course you actually WANT to buy a product, then you can't find one to save your life lmao. Get the word out that you are there, and people will come eventually. Especially with Christmas just around the corner. Maybe you can have a home party (if you are comfortable with that) and invite your neighbors. Even if all that happens is you have a good time bonding and they get some free food, the exposure is more important. Hope this helps. :)

The only problem about fliers is you can't put then in mailboxes it's a federal offsense or something like that. I m planning a home party that I'm very ecsited about. I have snacks like chips and brownies and drinks. I bought a bunch of demos and samples. I can't wait like you said Christmas is right around the corner and I think that I could boost sales. I have given out a bunch of books and stuff at church and I leave one with every waitress. I really just leave then everywhere and anywhere that I can. I send them to work with my parents and my brother. I guess I just need to give it some time and see where it goes from there. thanks for your post I appreciate it.

Now I have to purchase bags that hang on doors or I can sit them in the newspaper box if they have one. It's still a hassle. I do understand though becuase I would not want someone rummaging around my mail box either. You never know what could be in there and plus thats my private stuff. I have a fit if my mom looks at my mail lol.

Wow, I never knew it was a federal offense, everyone does it up here! We get all kinds of flyers about everything in our mailboxes. Not sure why it would be a federal offense, the mailbox is privately owned. Ah well, learn something new every day!

I promise to be your first overseas customer as soon as I make some decent money on Mylot. So far I've made only 30 cents so I guess that won't be anytime soon

i sold avon for about 10 years (before the internet was up and running) and i did ok. i have a friend that sells it now and she has about 100 customers (all in the neighbourhood). what i would suggest is freebies, everyone loves something for free!!

sometimes I feel like you have to have money in order to make it big in avon. I can't realy afford to go out and buy alot of the extras but of course I put samples in the books that I hand out. I guess I need to start walkig the neighborhood placing flyers out.
