For some reason, the smell of cooked beef makes me feel ill. And, that's bad news, since my best dish is tacos. Most times, I like tacos, after all the other flavors and seasonings are added. But, the smell of plain cooked beef turns me off. What type of foods do you hate to smell cooking?

The smell of cooked spinach makes me sick. So does the smell of sauerkraut. I don't eat either of those things either. The smell of some fish bothers me as well. I actually can't think of anything that the smell of it cooking bothers me, but I eat the finished product. When I was pregnant Taco Bell was like that, but that was special circumstances. :) Oh wait. Fajita seasoning packets smell weird to me, but I eat fajitas after they are done cooking, even if we use a seasoning packet.

Same with me. Cooked foods smell fine to me, but the ones that are in the process are weird. Only cooked food I can't stand is the cooked beef. But I don't mind mixing it with something else. Smells OK then.

I can't stand the smell of fish or salmon. My mother in law will make salmon for my husband every once in a while and when we walk into her house I feel like getting sick. I don't eat any seafood either, so maybe that is why I don't like the smell of it.

I don't mind canned salmon as the smell is muted. But cooking fish is another matter! Yuck!

I have only three things that I hate the smell of while they're cooking. Brussel sprouts, cabbage & cauliflower. I'll give you three guesses what my hubby's 3 absolute favorite veggies are. Go ahead I dare ya.. I like eating all three but I don't enjoy cooking them. So if hubby wants them, hubby cooks them.

I hate the smell of seafood cooking. I also don't like to eat it. I don't like the way chitlins smell either, while cooking. I don't like to eat those either.

Sometimes I hate the smell of chicken when it is part way cooked, it seems to get this smell that just knocks me sick. Lamb does it too, if I get a whiff of it then normally I cannot eat it when it is cooked. I cannot think of anything else that makes me sick or ill when cooking it, most food smells pretty good!

It has that raw cooking chicken smell. I can't explain it. Makes me sick too. Usually, I put chicken on my counter top grill and then leave the room. That works for me.

I dislike the smell of most meat cooking. Of course, that isn't really surprising since I don't eat most meats.

Fish, especially lemon pepper flavored fish. My parents can't stand the smell of eggs. I've scrambled some eggs before for breakfast and they get grossed out. They have me spray air freshener all over the place. I end up gagging on the smell of air freshener, not the eggs!

For me it is the smell of pork that I hate. It smells like fat to me. I don't eat much pork anymore because of the smell of it when I am cooking it. I have been eating more beef and chicken these days as I can handle those smells but for some reason can't handle the smell of pork these days. I never used to not like the smell of pork so I don;t know why I have felt this way the last couple months. I also hate the smell of beef kidney. I have never liked the smell of it, ever. So I don't cook it anymore but when I was married to my first husband he loved kidney pie and so I would cook it for him, but I could never eat it myself because of the smell. Have you ever cooked beef kidney? It smells like pee, literally. And I am not the only one who thinks so, so do a lot of my family members. I used to live upstairs of a house my parents owned and my sister lived downstairs. I was with my first husband then and she would always complain when I cooked it as she could also smell it downstairs and she thought it smelled like pee too.

I really don't like the smell of boiling cabbages and boiling ox tripe. Although I eat both of them I really don't want their smell. The cabbage's smell when being boiled could be attributed to its sulfur content, that's why it smells bad when overcooked or boiled. Maybe some foods really release chemicals when cooked that's why they don't smell good.

I hate the smell of corn flakes cookies. It tastes great and crunchy but I had to bear the smell when baking it. Sometimes I will throw up when baking. I can't stand the fatty smell from it. Now I just buy it store.
