Update on Niece

Well my niece signed full custody of the girls to her mother (my ex sister in law). My ex sister in law will have her boyfriend drop the baby and the 4 year old(10 months old) off at my brother's house in the morning and he will take his daughter (4 years old s/o's daughter) and the 4 year old to school then come back home and ex sister in law will pick up the baby and take her to the babysitter. My brother will then sleep (he works 3rd shift) till time to pick up the girls from school and then have them till 5 when ex sister in law will pick up the 4 year old and take them home. It is a crazy mess but atleast they will be taken care of. I would help if I wasn't 1500 miles away. My niece realizes she is going to do time for this one. 3-5 years. So she is relinquishing custody of the girls. Thanks to everyone who has prayed about this situation and please continue to pray for them.

My head is spinning just trying to follow this taxi drive of kids. It does sound like they have put a lot of thought into it, and will do everything that they can to do the best for the children. The positive is that they will get to be involved with several adults who love them.

I know it makes my head spin also. It will be a nightmare at first but maybe once they get into a routine.

Hi sweet, sounds like it's still quite a mess, but at least the little ones are safe and sound and away from their crazy mother. At this point that is the most important thing of all. They need to be safe and have some kind of stability in their lives now. It is a really sad thing that it has come down to this, but at least your neice's mother is willing to take care of the kids so that they don't end up in the system and can stay with family. As for your neice, I don't think that she will change unless by some miracle the jail time get's the message through to her. I will pray for them all.

I really hope she learns her lesson while sitting in jail. I do pray the kids will be taken care of now properly. I pray the grandmomma is good to both girls. The baby is young enough to forget. But the four year old is not. Anyone thought of getting that little one it to some sort of counseling or therephy? Even thou she is only 4. She will need it.

I wish everything well especially for those kids. It's just the wisest decision your niece made for the well-being of her children. She already made her life in a mess so it's time to make a sacrifice for the sake of her children.
