Since Birth until now I really love eating chocolates. I could consume as many as I can if there is a chocolate. And I am so lucky even if I am chocoholic I had no problem with my teeth that which they say is a common result for chocolate lovers. People are are warning me that chocolates are bad for the cholesterol levels and they are all aware about how I keep count of bad cholesterol. BUT, I have read an article that it says chocolates or milk chocolates even when eaten on a daily basis have been found no effect on blood cholesterol levels like other saturated fats, As I read that article and as a chocolate lover I have a good reason to rejoice.. That is why sometimes I question myself am I addicted to eat chocolates..

According to my eldest daughter choclate is a vegetable so it is good for you. Chocolate really does stimulate the body to produce a natural anti-depressant. As long as you have a balanced diet anything you fancy is good for you.

I think it's quite possible to be addicted to anything we love. I remember when I was a child my mother was addicted to Steamroller peppermints. She simply had to have a certain amount of packets per day - and used to send us up to the corner shop to buy them for her! She had that addiction for a very long time, and I can't remember now how she was cured of it!

Hi dorothy09, I wonder if your mother had a graving for chocolate when she was pregnant with and that is why you are addicted to chocolates, some scientist has said that chocolates were good for your heart, but I just can't believe that. Tamara

Well i recently found that chocolates are one of the reason for my migraine. Though i love chocolates very much, but am avoiding now to some extent. Medically they say dark chocolates are good anti oxidant and good for health. I feel black chocolates sometimes taste bitter due to more cocoa..i like milk chocolates.

i think if you just eat in moderation it would be fine and there would be no problem. but if you eat too much then tehre would be alot of risks especially concercning your health.

Hi dorothy..my son is a chocoholic he eats chocolate every day and can't go without doing it, it is a fact that chocolate is good for you but only now and then not everyday. One every day only puts on weight and does raise sugar levels which is dangerous as it can cause all sorts of health problems so if I was you be careful too much chocolate is not good for you and it also sounds that you are the same as my son addicted to it...littleowl

hi there dorothy.... Definitely, Chocolate causes Addiction since it is one of my hidden addictions but I'm not into chocolates that are too sweet, I prefer the dark ones and I think it is the one who made me addicted to chocolates since I first tried eating it I just can't get enough. I knew chocolates (especially the sweet ones) is really bad for our health since it increases the blood insulin level which can cause diabetes and other implications on our heart. I don't think so... All we need is discipline, right?
