hello my dear friend, i am a big rice eater and can have it all the time whenever i am hungry. i love white rice more than brown and love its pudding and sweet dishes too. its a staple food here and i just cant feel full if i dont have it. i am having an eight month old baby girl and i have given her rice with milk, plain, boiled, mixed with some veg. i have not made her taste wheat in any form . she likes to eat it . her stomache is too small but then too i always make her eat rice. as i am myself a big rice lover i want my baby to accompany me because my in laws dont like rice a lot. so i have to think of some occasion or pray to GOD for aday that i can make it . i have made my baby it rice from thhe very first day so that when she grows up, and demands for having rice, then i think nobody will object and i can enjoy . when i was also pregnant, i use to eat rice like anything . my in laws use to think that what a girl i am. how can i live by eating just rice. but i can, i donno but i am not able to make them understand. as i cant digest that how can a person live on eating just bread, or chappati. i loved rice, i ate rice and if not at home i go out and order it and then have. i cant live without it. after marriage i just starved for it. my hubby use to take me out for lunch and dinners at time and use to order rice with curd which is my favourite with any veg or soup or any curry. i am big rice lover and i just pray to GOD that in later years my baby gives me company as my hubby is most of the time out.

Yes, our children normally like to eat rice. All our family members like to eat many varieties of preparation from rice. Above all, rice is our principal food! I also like this message about your daughter, liking more to eat rice! Thanks for this nice discussion!

I am from India. My wife is from eastern part of India and I am from southern part, and at both the parts rice is a staple food. Because of this we invariably have rice as main item in Lunch nad Dinner too! So it was naturalfor my only son todevelop a liking for rice! We prepare rice in many forms or we have many variationsinpreparations. Though we prefer to eat rice with pulses and curryon regular basis, some times with curds also, we some times prepare special dishes like Biryani a dish cooked with Meat or chick mixed with spices; Pulao is cooked with vegetables,Kheer is prepared with milk with Sugar. Thus in India rice is eaten in many ways and my son definitely likes to have rice with us!

My kids do not like plain white rice. They like it when it is mixed in to casseroles and my son likes yellow rice which has seasonings in it like chicken bouillon and saffron.

It's good that your daughter has got use to eating rice. My children too loves to eat rice specially plain rice like your daughter. They don't like anyother things to eat other than rice. So for all three main meals they eat rice and curry.

No rice here. I don't care for it much. Unless its Chinese fried rice. So I would have been surprised if my daughter liked it. We prefer noodles.
