If you wake up rich in one morning, what would you do with the money first? Maybe you buy a car, you can take a very big house, or you can stretch back to become poor again. So, what's the first thing you want to do with money?

For many reasons, if I became amazingly wealthy I would want to keep it a secret from my family. I think it's hard enough to raise children that value money, earning a living, who respect their possessions, etc; and I think it's nearly impossible for people with signifigant wealth to do so. Look at the off springs of most celebs if you need proof of that. If I hit the lottery I would figure out a way to make my family's life more comfortable without letting them know where it came from. I'd have my accountant write fake scholarship letters for my children's college education or something like that, establish trust funds for when my children are established as adults that they don't know about now and pay off my house & donate our mortgage payment each month to a homeless charity or something. I do not think money buys happiness.

Well not tell where the money comes, but they will not realize it? I mean everyone becomes a suspect when bringing money home, so much: D

well first thing i would do is probably pay bills off (exciting eh?) maybe then plan a short trip to see some places i want to see; then i would fix up my house so we could move to a new, flatter one. then i would go back to work because i am not one that can sit around all day.

Hello tickapa! I have to be honest. I would go to Wal-mart, and Christmas shop. I would love to have the money to make the greatest Christmas for the little ones! Then I would call all my creditors and pay them off and then go and buy a chevy chevette or an escort. I would bank the rest and live off the fat of dad's land until I got up and out of the house. I don't believe it would make me 100% happy but I know I would feel better about it. If I had to spend it all at once, I would pay what my dad owes to his creditors and buy my brother a house.

Hi If you believe me, I would contribute a significant amount of money to cancer patients specially those who are middle aged female. I'll, of course, save a portion for me.

How rich? :D If me, I will just take all the money and run.... to a bank, and put half in fixed deposit and half in my savings account :D Next, I will invest in a property or I'll invest in stock market and collect dividend. I might donate some to charity as well. That's all. Maximize assets and minimize liabilities.

Wow, that would be totally awesome! I know exactly what the first thing I'd do seeing as I am planning to go to New Zealand in 2010 because it gives me time to save up money as it is very expensive to travel there as it's the other side of the world for me and for a fully arranged trip, so the first thing I'd do is book up the holiday of a lifetime to a country that has always fascinated me and I have only dreamed about going to! Please let me wake up tomorrow rich!!!

hi tickapa! if i wake up rich one morning, i'd probably do first the things that i couldn't do without money. i'd probably go shopping and buy all the things that i want. buy a new house for my family and a car. after that, i would think of better ways to spend my money. like build a school for poor children and then a home for the aged and the homeless. then establish business that would create jobs for the unemployed. after everything is settled then i'd probably spend for myself again. like travel the whole world and all.

Everybody wants to buy what did not have before. It's a good thing, but you don`t believe if u have everything that you could not have, it's a little ... boring? Do not think that is good for you to want something and you can not buy? something to motivate you to do something ... to work for him: D

I'd surely be surprised and feel afraid. I'll first fin out what happened and how I became rich. I'd look for my mom and dad and siblings and make sure that they're with me. I'll check if it was all true and how it came to be because I would make sure of what money I was spending if it was really ours right?

Well first of all. I would buy a nice house where my family, my mom, my fiancee, his mom, and his brother could live together. I like having my loved ones surround me =) Then, I would buy a building space to create my art gallery (I have tons of artworks I have done waiting to be sold in my garage still. I paint nearly everyday) That way I can start my dream business and show my talent to the world. I would sell my paintings there and hire some of my friends who really need jobs to come help me. The income I make from my biz and part of the what I would have goes to charity^^^ Half of the money would be put in the bank. Can't think of anything else right now, hehe.

Very good that you want to invest in your passion. But I am curious if you tried to seek sponsorship to show the world your paintings?!

I mean that there should be some foundation to sponsor individuals talented of painting (or any other talent). You tried to get in touch with any one? Also, you tried to sell your paintings on a website dedicated to art? Sites like these: http://www.gallerytoday.com http://www.artbyus.com http://www.yessy.com

Well I guess a lot of people dream or want to become rich, and I'm no exception to this. Honestly, my husband and I both have separate jobs but we're still finding it hard to make ends meet. We do have one daughter for a child and less than a year from now, she is going to attend school already but I fear that we can't afford sending her to an exclusive or private school. And my answer to your query; it's quite natural for me or my situation to at least daydream and wish that we do have a lot of money. In fact, I'm dreaming that one day, we'll be awakened by a surprising positive news that we won at least ten million pesos (or approximately two hundred thousand dollars) in the local lottery draw. If this finally comes true, a lot of my aspirations for my own family will be realized. On top of the list is for us to be able to purchase a parcel of land where our own house will be built. Also, we are going to buy several hectares of land to be utilized for plantation of various types of fruits and vegetables. Aside from this, we will normally give a portion of our winnings to my parents and to my in-laws, too. And for this, I'm so thankful that finally, we will be able to put up a small but lucrative and lawful family business which hopefully, we will be successful enough to make it grow and eventually become a heirloom for our offsprings. I also aspire to give and help the needy and less fortunate fellowmen. In fact, I plan to put up a business wherein I would be hiring undergraduates or out-of-school youth to be my employees in the firm, giving them a steady income and benefits; along with 'teaching them how to fish', just as the Holy Bible says. But first things first, I would divide the great sum of money or riches and deposit a portion of these in several local banks here in our country; taking into consideration the amount for our child's full education until she graduates, and the outstanding bills and loans we have to pay.

With the money, I would buy a big piece of land and build a wonderful house. And invest the rest in a profitable business. And then be my own boss for the rest of my life and live life luxuriously an giving all happiness to my family. Also coming to help to many people.
